CT 360 Photo Booth Rental

I remembered the Camera Bar per reference from my Photography Professor from college. I was in distress due to a booking I had for photography the same night I had arrived at the Camera Bar. Sir Rick went above and beyond in his attempts to accommodate me! The other staff, as well, were quick with their responses. This shop provided a team effort that I am most grateful for. I really appreciate the excellent customer service that’s offered at the Camera Bar. I will forever do business with them!

I'm a newbie to film photography and decided to check out Camera Bar to get my first roll of film, along with some tips. The staff was extremely helpful with getting me setup, and the cost of film and development was reasonable and super quick, literally next-day! As of writing this review, Superia X-TRA 400 was about $10 per roll, and development and scanning came to $17, USB drive included. Emailing pictures with a Drobox link rather than putting them on a USB drive would probably cut down on scanning costs at the very least, but I can understand wanting to be discrete. The pictures attached were all shot on a Canon Canonet QL19. My only critiques would be that they don't seem to list their prices for development and scanning on their website, and they also don't have film for sale on their website either... Would also love to see their vintage and used gear listed on there too, including an option to buy and ship said film and used gear. Would make it way more accessible to people who don't live in the city, but still want to support their local camera shop and get into the hobby ❤️

What a special store in downtown Hartford. The Camera Bar is family owned and operated. From the moment you walk in, regardless of your expertise in photography (or lack thereof in my case) you are in pleasant, helpful hands. Wedged between traditional and modern, all your equipment and resource needs are met with a delightful aesthetic of photographic history surrounding you. But what stands out is the service. In the era of big box and online, the Camera Bar sets itself apart with the touches found only in a place built on passion. Worth the visit, and keep it on your radar for any photo & video needs. 📸

Camera Bar helped my co-workers and I pick out the best camera and lens for our use. Taking great videos for clients was our biggest concern and Aaron helped us out every step of the way. You won't find a store like this near you. Making the trip out to Hartford is definitely worth it. I recommend the Camera Bar to anyone and make sure to ask for Aaron!

Excellent service! I came here to have a couple of 8x10 photos printed after a failed attempt somewhere else. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and I got exactly what I needed. On top of that, they were even willing to adjust and reprint one of my photos (that was too big and had part of the top chopped off) for no extra charge. I would definitely recommend their services and plan to return when I need more photos printed!

We came to the Camera Bar and we're met with kindness and a efficient pleasent expirence! Sysadmin was our cashier and our camera expert who in a few quick questions had discovered our problem and found a lense for our camera in his inventory, while also answering some of our own questions about the gear that we had bought but weren't sure on. Turns out that what we had bought online didn't go at all to this camera and he saved us alot of searching and money with his expertise. Thank you so much and we will definitely be spreading good word of such a lovely, 40 years in the business camera shop!

I wanted to take a minute to tell you how impressed I am with this local camera shop. I had a small adjustment that needed to be made in my D5 and I was trying not to send it into Nikon because I had jobs lined up for the spring. Aaron was incredibly helpful and and patient in getting the camera adjusted same day and because of him, I could get to my 1 pm shoot stress free. He couldn’t have been any more pleasant and I will be back to pick up the Nikon 105mm to go with the D5 that was purchased there two years back. They have top quality gear for pros and hobbiest alike. It’s small stores like this that realize photography is also your business and they are excellent at helping you get get the job done. Visit them and support local.

An old school feel with many older items on display when you walk in. The assistant was very knowledgeable about an old lens issue and had good advice about matching up a large lens with a recent camera. We felt well informed and were happy we visited. Note this store is not for the beginner/ casual photographer - but they mentioned they can do 1 on 1 tutoring by the hour.

I recently purchased the Canon R6 and wanted to acquire the RF lenses. The demand was high and lenses were hard to come by, especially the RF 100-500. Camera Bar maintained a waitlist of names for this elusive lens! Well, 2 days before a trip to AZ to photography hummingbirds, I got the call that they had gotten 1 lens in, I jumped on it. Somehow, they have some pull because the lens is unobtainable at any other camera store, big box or online! Aaron and team really know their business and clearly must have great relationships with their manufacturer reps - because this was a huge score! Whenever I have a question about gear or my equipment, they are always available. Super service, top quality equipment and nice people!

I generally don't write reviews but I felt like I had to given the experience that I had at Camera Bar yesterday. Putting it simply, 5 stars aren't enough. What a great shop! Every question I had about the camera system I was thinking about was answered informatively - no sales pitch, just the answer to the question. And, when possible, I even got to see real world work that had come out of that camera in challenging conditions. They took their time with me and, in the end, I was more than confident in my purchase when I walked out the door. But there's another reason I'm posting this review and that's because we need to keep going to these stores and giving them our business so they can keep serving customers, answering questions, and delivering live in-person *real* customer service. Could I have gotten a package deal for this camera online with maybe a few extras thrown in for the same price? Maybe. Honestly I didn't look because once I googled 'camera stores near me' and found out that one actually existed (and had a fantastic review rating), there was no way I wasn't going to buy from them and not some nameless, faceless online entity with no interest in me or my community or the community of photographers in general. Camera Bar is the epitome of the importance of doing business face-to-face. It's knowledgeable people with a great selection who can help you make the best decision for your needs. It's a camera store run by photographers for the love of photography. It's what we need *more* of in this world - not less. It's why those extras in those online packages exist - to lure you away from what really matters and get you to trade your local economy and community for a few trinkets or a cheap lens filter. Buy local. Support your local camera shop. But, if you're here in *this* area, definitely swing by Camera Bar if you've got some photography needs. You'll be so happy you did. Thanks for all the help guys - I can't wait to come back in.

Very knowledgeable staff. It's nice to be able to go to a real camera store, and ask questions in person to somebody who knows and understands the product. I was able to bring in several of my lenses and try them on a camera body before I made the purchase. They have a lot of gear available, for all abilities from the beginner to the seasoned Pro.

I stopped in to replace a lost lens cap while visiting from out of town. I was totally impressed with how friendly and helpful these guys were. So impressed that this was the place I decided to purchase some additional lens filters I had been meaning to buy. While searching for a place to have dinner on Sunday night during my visit to Hartford; I found Camera Bar, and decided to go back the next day. To my surprise, I found they carry latest camera models as well as accessories at market prices. I decided to purchase a wide angle lens, filter and mono pod I was ready to order from a large mail order store in NY. Kudos to this small store for their friendly and knowledgeable staff and I hope they stay in business for a long time!
