Quick response and excellent communication. Labor over $300 for a one hour job was much higher than expected. Parts markup was as expected.
Technician did his job very well. The price for the damper was ridiculously high.
Installed a new compressor in our four year old Kenmore Elite. Installer did an excellent job. Our wait time for repair was almost two weeks. Very few young people entering this profession, as a result, customers has a longer wait time for service. P.S. They do not make compressor to last a long time anymore. Shame on the companies cheapening their products.
Other than the fact that it took 15 days to get a repairman here, we were very happy with the service. Jeff arrived on time and was efficient and personable in replacing the compressor in our refrigerator. I was pleased and relieved that he had the new part and necessary tools on the truck.
The repair tech was unable to diagnose what is wrong with my mower. Unfortunately, the symptoms of the problem didn't show while he was here. He fixed what he thought it was, but after trying to use it again, I was able to use it for about 1/2 hour before it died. I have been unable to restart. I've scheduled another appointment, but it's still over a week away. This is not helpful. I'm 63 years old and it's too hard to mow 1/2 acre lot with a push mower.
Service associate called early in the morning with an estimated time of arrival, then called again when he was on his way. He was friendly and efficient and gave me tips for keeping my appliances in tip-top shape! It was a great experience, I would recommend the service to others and use it again my self.
The only positive was that our repair did get made. Everything else is a hassle. I told them the exact model and problem with our appliance and even though it was correct and the earliest appointment I could get was 2 weeks away they still had to order the part and schedule ANOTHER appointment for ANOTHER 2 weeks later. The appointments can't be scheduled any more specifically than half a day and both times the arrival time was changed with only a token notice email the day before. Besides all that, the tech arrived outside of the appointment time 1 of the 2 appointments. Then when they ARE there, they try to sell you their home warranty REPEATEDLY.
2016 - The repair Tech was friendly and knowledgeable. However, even with a maintenance agreement, the 9-week time lag to get the lawn tractor fixed was totally unacceptable. I called in the problem on of the non-functioning lawn tractor on June 2, and the repair work wasn't done until August 4. That's 9 weeks. It took 3 weeks before the Tech could come for the initial appointment, and then 4 more weeks before he was to return to finish the job. Obviously, Sears needs more Techs for mower repair. About two days before the second scheduled repair appointment, and unknown to me, Sears cancelled the repair appointment because the parts hadn't been delivered yet. The parts were delivered by UPS on the morning of the scheduled appointment, but the appointment had already been cancelled by Sears. I wasted an entire day waiting for the service Tech to call and then come to do the repair. When I called Sears about 4:00 pm to check on the no-show of the service Tech, that is when I was told the appointment had been cancelled, and at no time had I been told. After talking to several Sears people, including managers and supervisors from several different departments, they rescheduled the appointment for two more weeks into the future. At that new appointment it finally got fixed, but that's 9 weeks since I called in the problem. It has always been good that with the maintenance agreement the lawn tractor gets fixed, but 9 weeks is unacceptable. This is about the 3rd time this type of repair delay has occurred during the time I have had the lawn tractor. When it breaks down during the grass growing season, I need it fixed before the snow flies. In the hot, humid area of the country, the grass grows a lot in 9 weeks. I bought the lawn tractor so I wouldn’t have to walk behind a mower. With this extreme repair time lag, I had to push-mow twice, and the parts of the lawn that I didn’t mow were nearly 2 feet tall after 9 weeks. I’m beginning to question whether a Craftsman mower with a maintenance agreement is as good as other mowers on the market.
2017 - The first lawn tractor repair of the season went well. The lag time for repair was far better than last year, - 2 weeks for the initial appointment to research the problem, and 2 more weeks for the parts to arrive and for the Tech to return and install them. So far, (one week), the lawn tractor is working very well with the new carburetor.
Overall great experience. The service person they sent for the repair was very nice and did a thorough and quick job. The only part that was a little disappointing was that I had to be scheduled a month out. The service guy was even pretty shocked when I said I had been waiting for a month.
My problem with my refrigerator was completely resolved in one scheduled appointment. Pete, the Sears Technician, was very efficient ,knowledgable and also very professional and friendly. It was obvious that he had the experience and knowledge to diagnosis the problem and was very familiar with the workings of the appliance. The part needed was available in his struck so there was no need to reschedule another visit and the repair was done timely..
Found the repair guy to be very nice and kind, however the only issue is the price was outrageous for a 30 minute deal. I know the service call is 79 dollars right off the bat... however re-hooking up a hose should not be an additional 60 bucks when you are already paying 79 dollars just for coming. I give the service guy 5 stars but the overall Sears experience a 3 due to the cost.
Once a tech showed up that knew what the issue was everything went very well. Problem was that it took 7 weeks from the time it started leaking to when the final fix was complete. The 7 weeks is why the rating is so low. If the 1st visit would have been more complete I would have been up and running in 5 weeks which is still a long time to wait for a repair to be complete.
The repairman was very courteous and friendly. He seemed very knowledgeable and quickly repaired what he thought the problem was. Unfortunately he didn't completely fix the issue and we had to schedule another appointment with a repairman. I hope we won't get charged with another service charge.
Snow thrower thawed out and the problem resolved. A new water heater was delivered in good time and now I can have it installed. Received a check from Sears to reimburse instillation cost. Sears product insurance is a recommended option. Super service, will recommend Sears products.
I thought the initial repair was ok. The repairman told me a cable was bad that turned off the mower. I asked him to repair it . He said he didn't have one and to call Sears in a couple of weeks and tell them there was a problem with the repair.
I just spent 45 min in chat to try to get a repair appointment. I talked to two different people before I got to the lawnmower home service, whom I couldn't hear I'm hearing impaired. Sears insisted that I repay the 139 fee. The repair man should have gone back to sears and got the cable and fixed it right the first time. Now I have to hang around the house for another 4 hours waiting on them.
The repair tech called several hours before our appointment to see if he could arrive early. He was here promptly and checked our dryer. He was professional and courteous.
Great service I would use again. On time, knowledgeable and fast. But the repairman was thorough. Highly recommend.
The technician was polite and explained everything. Unfortunately, he had to order a new dryer drum. I won't know if everything works okay until the drum is installed in June 1st.
The repairman replaced the pump, we were told it needed hot water to work better and dissolve the soap, we normally run it at night but apparently that doesn't get the water hot enough so we will run hot water to it, run the dishwasher and see if it dissolves the soap.

Not only did the technician call and confirm his arrival time, but he was on time, had the needed part, and was able to replace the part quickly and at a very reasonable cost.

It took over two weeks to get an appointment, but the technician was on time, very nice, worked cleanly, and did an excellent job repairing our fridge!
Serviceman arrived on schedule and was courteous, neat and knowledgeable. He fixed the dishwasher in a short time and it no longer leaks water on the floor.
There was no repair. We were charged $149.00 for the visit with
our ice dispenser in the same condition when the service man left. We had been told the consultation would be $99.00.
I really liked the repairman. He was friendly and got to the bottom of the problem. He didn't think anything was wrong, but dug deeper and found the issue. I am very satisfied.

Service was thorough. Problem with scheduling. Scheduled 8-12am but service happened around 6pm. This was not the serviceman's fault but a SEARS problem.
