The people there are known for their integrity. I used to work with them as a technician and they are picky about how they choose and screen their technicians and do a lot to ensure the work satisfies the customer as well. Brian has worked with them a long time and they only use the best for their long time customers. We never asked, but sometimes people would tip us anyway because they were so happy. I miss those folks but they really walk the walk over there. <3

What a great place! Very friendly, performed a diagnostic on my parts, quickly found the problem, and had the parts I needed for my dryer in stock! No need to order the parts and wait a few days. Was able to fix my dryer in just a couple of hours. Thank you Bear Valley Appliance!

I'm not one to write reviews often, but this was an exceptional experience. My furnace went out late on a Friday night, and we woke up to a cold house Saturday morning. I was referred to Bear Valley Appliance by a different supplier that only worked with commercial accounts (I'm just a homeowner who usually does my repairs). The lady who answered the phone was helpful and reached out to the person who deals with the parts I needed. He was out sick and still took the time to call me back, explain my options, and get the order set up. When nearly all other supply houses were closed, I picked up my parts and repaired the furnace on a day I didn't expect to find an open supply house. I recommend this shop wholeheartedly, and I'll go to them first for future needs.

We had some routine maintenance scheduled for our high-end clothes dryer and, after the maintenance was complete, the dryer started smelling of electrical fire as soon as we used it. Technician came back out and indicated that the board had burnt out. There was no way to tell if the problem's timing was coincidence or not, but certainly suspect. After talking with the owner, he agreed to talk with the tech and if there was any chance that it was not a coincidence, they would replace the board. There was another component that was damaged when the board blew and they indicated that would be up to me to replace, if needed. That seemed like a fair compromise and, after coming out to replace the board, it was determined that the other part was needed and it was replaced as well. I am still waiting for an invoice for the second part months later. The customer service was great, especially for a first-time customer. There were some serious delays for part delivery, but that seemed out of Bear Valley's control. I would use them again and recommend them for others.

I reached out to Rick to order a new control board for my furnace. Before placing the order, he convinced me to perform a few extra diagnostics to make sure it was the control board. Turns out one of the leads to the control board had come loose and the transformer was not getting power. Without Rick's help, I would have wasted money on a control board and spent a day or two without AC waiting for it. Will definitely be coming back next time I need a part.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!! I called with a Maytag washer which had stoped with the tub full of water. They asked Brian to see if he had time to stop by to assess. He fit me in to his schedule that afternoon luckily he had the part (lid switch) and fixed it within 20 minutes! I had called several other repair companies and they all gave a week out. One was arrogant enough to diagnose over the phone as a drain pump and wanted prepayment on parts! Not falling for that! Bear Valley Service provided honest, knowledgable and fast service!

Great customer service, extremely knowledgeable staff. My whole experience only took about 60 seconds. I had no idea what I needed at all but the gentleman had my back and examined a photo of the part I needed and like magic he placed the replacement on the counter. Looked all over town for a certain washing machine part and had no luck. I called Rick at Bear Valley and he went out of his way to research the part I was looking for. He was able to find a cross matching part in another brand for about $50 less, and he had it in stock. I drove 45 minutes across town to pick it up. Rick is professional and very polite!! Absolute pleasure to deal with! I am a local business owner myself. Good customer service is hard to come by these days, but Rick nailed it!! Thanks Rick! We'll be back if needed!

When my furnace died and I wanted to fix it myself this place was great! They had the parts I needed and friendly advice on installing them. He even told me that if I had any trouble (I didn't) to give them a call and he'll try to help over the phone. I'll definitely return when I need parts again.

Rich and Sandy are AWESOME - A freezer I bought off Craigslist 5 years ago was not reaching low enough temps to freeze the food on the top shelves of the freezer. I watched some YouTube videos and tested the continuity of the defrost thermostat and it needed to be replaced. I visited Bear Valley and Rich provided me the part at a very competitive price. I installed the part and it still did not fix my problem (but I believe the part was bad anyways and needed replacing). I then watched more videos and tested the continuity of the evaporator fan motor. It was not registering so my next step was to replace that part. I called Rich and shared with him the troubleshooting I had done and he thought replacing the motor was a good idea. The new motor was $130. I told Rich I bought the freezer for $150 and needed to be sure the evaporator motor would fix my problem. He told me to grab a small household fan, turn it on, point it at the evaporator coils and close the freezer door. If the temperature goes down to below freezing - buy the part. Well I did just that and the freezer had cooled to 15 degrees in one hour - So this is why I am writing this review - I could find this part a little cheaper from a large online website - but Rich just earned my business because he took the time to help me troubleshoot - It is because of his 30 years of experience I didn't toss this freezer into the landfill - GREAT Customer Service!!!

I'm a hard sell when it comes to leaving reviews and surveys. You either have to be really good or really bad. This place takes the former in every way! After multiple phone calls and help in the store I was able to find all of the issues with my dryer and get it fixed.

I have been going to Bear Valley Appliance for years to get parts for the appliances in my rentals. You can buy parts online but you wont get Rick's knowledge of parts and analytical ability. Rick was helpful over the phone and although they didn’t have the exact oven bake element I needed, he offered to overnight ship it to minimize downtime. I ended up visiting BVA and bringing my element with me- they have a variety of elements on hand from which we were able to find a suitable substitute.
