Everything with this company was so seamless. I called and they had a technician to come out the next day. I had Josh and I love him. He was prompt and professional. He diagnosed the issue in like 10 minutes. But what I really loved was that he was honest and forthcoming in advising me. Because of his integrity, this business has gained a returning customer. While I declined actual repair services, I could appreciate his thorough diagnosis, honest analysis and professional advise. Give Sloan a call, you wont regret it!
Sloan Appliance has been my go to for repairs for years. In fact my own mother used them. Today Eric repaired my washing machine and I was very impressed with the service he gave me. The repair was done quickly and on time. Parts had to be ordered and they arrived very quickly. Eric was friendly and personable and finished the job quickly. I would definitely use Sloan Appliance again after this experience.
I called early part of the week and they said repair could come out the following Tuesday. However, they called because of a cancellation and got me in for today, Friday. He came in, diagnosed the problem & fixed it all within a 30 minute period and I'm very happy with the company from start to finish. From the initial phone call to the repair, everybody acted like they appreciated our business. If we need anything else to do with appliance repair, we'll definitely use Sloan Appliance Service.
I had an issue with my refrigerator, and Sloan was very quick to respond and send someone to take a look at it. Once the issue was identified, they were able to complete the repair in a timely manner. Jarid and Ben were both extremely professional, and explained everything very clearly. I will gladly hire Sloan again the next time I need appliance repair.
We selected Sloan based on its online reviews, and the reviews are well-deserved! The technician arrived later than we anticipated (though still within the repair window) due to a miscommunication with their answering service, but everyone was super communicative and kept us updated. Our repair tech was very friendly and, our fridge works like new again. Would definitely recommend!
We couldn't be happier with our experience with Sloan Appliance Repair. Our appointment was bumped up a week just in time to have our oven repaired the day before Thanksgiving, and our tech, Casey was very pleasant, and arrived on time and earlier than expected. He had our problem resolved quickly, and we're so thankful that we chose Sloan for our appliance repair needs. We will be repeat customers for any other appliance repair needs in the future.
Our new Frigidaire refrigerator needed installation, but our home had copper pipes that the store’s installers “could not handle.” Corrie Williams came promptly and assessed the problem. He crawled under the house and finished the installation very efficiently.
He is very friendly and knowledgeable, and we appreciate the great service.
He also informed us of other needed upgrading of pipes he had noticed while under the house. We would not hesitate to use Love Plumbing and Corrie’s assistance in the future. Thanks Corrie!
Frank arrived on time and went straight to work. He diagnosed the issue quickly and had a variety of parts on hand that commonly go bad with this make and model refrigerator. I have also used Sloan for a dishwasher that that went bad. The technician diagnosed the issue and provided an honest estimate with straightforward, honest advice. We decided to replace rather than repair the dishwasher. I would highly recommend Sloan for honest repair work and/or good advice if you have to replace your appliance.
Technician thoroughly cleaned the unit and replaced a water line on the refrigerator/freezer. The unit runs quieter and therefore is more efficient. We have not had any problems and we are happy we chose Sloan Appliance Service to diagnose and fix the unit. We now know who to call should we have an appliance need in the future!
The service technician was on time and called first before he came. He politely told me what the problem with my dryer could be and then went to examine the machine. He quoted me a price before beginning to work. After I O.K.ed the price, he fixed my dryer within a half hour. He also applied a coupon to the end price which saved me some money. Very professional and friendly! I will definitely be calling Sloan Appliance Service for all future needs!
I called Sloan to have them look at our Dryer. I was told that they charge 100 dollars to have them come out and look at the machine. If I decide to have them repair my dryer the 100 dollars wound not be charged. So the technician showed up at the scheduled time. He was professional and polite, He inspected my dryer and said it would be 300 dollars to fix. I asked him if that was minus the 100 dollars for diagnostic fee. He said that would be part of the 300 dollars. I told him that’s not what I was told when I made the appointment, he stated they were wrong and asked if I wanted to fix the dryer. Well I needed it fixed so I had to pay the 300 dollars. I was not happy about being told one thing then being charged something different. They did a good job but not happy about being mislead.
Jonathan was very efficient and communicated exactly what was being fixed. He arrived on time, and made the repair quickly. He also cleaned out the inside of the dryer and made sure everything was back where he found it. We would definitely do business with him again.
A couple of weeks before Christmas our oven/ broiler quit working. I called to set an appointment and was informed there wasn't one available for three weeks. I took what I could get, but was offered to be added to the cancellation list. Sloan called Monday AM and to say there was a cancellation for the next day. The repairman, Bud Jacobs, was professional, on time, and courteous. (The story has a happy ending as Mr. Jacobs shortly found and fixed the problem!) Thank you!!
Sloan rep Charlie McIver arrived on time was he was very courteous and professional. Fixed problem quickly and showed me it worked. He really loves his work and he stated how much he loves Sloan. That’s really a breath of fresh air that he enjoys his job so much. Good job Charlie, I appreciate you.
Turns out it was a simple issue. The breaker that feeds the dryer had tripped. Patrick and his coworker didn't pretend it was more than that. They were friendly, efficient and professional. Thanks for sending such competent professionals. No problems since their visit.

My family and I purchased a Samsung refrigerator February 2022, and in November 2022 the refrigerator began making a humming noise. I immediately contacted Samsung because the refrigerator was still under warranty and they initially assigned the repair to another company. The initial company came out on 12/7/2022, and indicated that a part needed to be ordered and we would be contacted. We never heard anything back and our refrigerator eventually stopped cooling the following week. When this occurred, I contacted the initial company who informed me that they would not be able to send anyone out until the following week, and mentioned nothing about the part that had been supposedly ordered as a result of their initial visit. I explained that all of my perishable items had to be thrown out and we had yet to hear anything regarding the ordered part. They were not the least bit concerned so I followed up with Samsung and asked that my repair be assigned to another company. When I contacted Sloan Appliance to see if there was any way someone could come out either that day or the following day, I spoke with Samantha and she was absolutely amazing....so patient, kind and empathetic to our situation. The following day, Ricardo, came by and he was just as awesome as Samantha. He took the time to explain the issue and assured us that we were a priority, even though he was unable to make the repair because a part had to be ordered. He indicated that we would be contacted as soon as the part arrived and the repairs would be made as quickly as possible. As you can imagine, not having a refrigerator for any extended period of time is a big inconvenience....especially when the refrigerator hasn't been in our home for a year. Although we have not yet had the repair completed, and are currently waiting on a part, I would be remissed if I didn't share what exceptional customer service Sloan Appliance provided during our time of need. We will be contacting them for any future appliance repair needs and highly recommend them to all.
I would recommend Sloan Appliance Service to the world if I could. Technician Drew Boyleston was the best. Attitude matters and when he arrived, I was unloading groceries. He offered his help if needed (I was done) but the offer was highly impressive. Once on the job, I could tell that he cares about the quality of his work ahd that he's knowledgable about the job. It's not often that you get someone friendly and professional but I did!! (Smile) He resolved the issues in a timely manner and afterwards, cleaned up behind his work. Called Sloan to repair my washer, Drew came to the appointment early. He diagnosed the problem in a very minutes and called me over to show me the problem. It was not the washer at all but a drainage problem. I would highly recommend Sloan appliance repair.
I want to say how pleased I am with the service I received on my refrigerator; we had an excellent tehnician, Jonathan Myres! Jon was professional, pleasant, efficient, very adept at his job, and I felt comfortable having him in my home. Jon went above and beyond to make sure everything was fixed and in order before he left. He cleaned up the small mess made by water from the refrigerator. He wore booties without being asked to do so, which I appreciated because I have wooden floors. Jon was easy to talk to and explained what he was doing as he did his repairs. Refrigerator not cooling properly. After checking it out found the door was not completely sealing letting air to create moisture inside. Also the opening between freezer and fridge had some ice causing it to not properly close. Cleaned the opening and realized door. Everything working good now.
My oven would not turn on. I called Sloan Appliance who sent a knowledgeable repairman within a week. He diagnosed the problem, replaced what needed it. It works and I'm happy.

Josh is the best. The fan blowing cold air from the freezer to fridge had to be replaced. He not only helped remove and replace food from the fridge compartment, he helped clean the shelves after replacing the fan mechanism.

Preston came out to check a defective timer on my dryer. I also had a problem with my ice dispenser on the refrigerator. He was able to diagnose both problems and ordered the replacement parts that day. The office called to set up repair appointments when the parts were ready. Preston returned and quickly repaired both appliances. He was polite and courteous, very professional. We have used Sloan for other repairs and will remain loyal customers. Today my technician showed up and I opened the door he was holding a box . I thought UPS had left a package. Nope! Patrick had a repair part. When I scheduled the appointment for my refrigerator, I told them my problem. So he showed up with the part he thought I needed and sure enough it was the right part and he was in and out in 15 minutes. Great job, friendly, professional. I am pretty new to the Chapin, SC area so wasn't sure who to call when my dryer broke.. When I called Sloan Appliance, Alex was very professional and helped me with setting up the appointment. At first it was going to be well over a week before he could have someone come out - but put me on a cancellation list and low and behold they called me and was able to have someone come out 6 days sooner. John Myres came out and although he didn't have the part in his truck, he ordered it and within a week he was here and repaired my dryer!! I can't say enough about the friendly, professional and service I received from this company!! I will surely recommend them to everyone!

I know this business before it sold out to a corporate entity. We last called them a number of years ago and they did a great job.
First my job is not yet completed.
I originally called July 28th. When you call the local number you get a voice cue system. The number is not local geographically. The phone system failed to route my call and I remained in que three times for 10-15 minutes with no response. I left voice mail and online messages for a call back. FINALLY. I got a call back. The operator said they were in Casey SC, I told them about the phone issue and was told it had a repair order in and they were sorry for the problem. Understanding the nature of automated phone system issues was fine with that.
The earliest appointment available was August 8th, but they would notify me if an earlier date became available. On August 3rd we received a computer generated text message for a tech to visit between 8 and 11 AM on Friday August 6th. He called 15 minutes before arriving.
Great guy. Knowledgeable, personable and professional. Our $1,600+ French Door, Korean made appliance has internal WIFI enabled diagnostics that far exceed the App offered to purchasers. He was able to rapidly diagnose our problem and look up the required repair kit. It was not presently available to order (would only appear if available from manufacturer stock in U.S.). The technician agreed to send us an email or call with our work order number, the kit part number and an estimated cost by end of day or perhaps Monday.
Today is Monday August 8th. No call no email by 11:00 AM. Called Sloan Appliance again. Again two 15+ minute failed voice system calls. Left "chat" message on web site to return my call.
The call was returned, the operator apologized for the problems with automated voice system, listened to my request for work order number, part number, cost, etc. She told me she had to forward it to "The Field Manager" who should respond in two hours. I asked the operator if she was located in Casey SC or Augusta GA and she said "No, I'm working remotely from home".
The voice sounded Philippine but there is an Asian population in both locations so I didn't ask. While talking to the operator I received a voice mail from Sloan Appliance, when listening the voice was again Asian - probably Filipino definitely male and from a different phone number.
I'm a retired network engineer worked as a consultant internationally and understand offshore services for significant labor savings. But the systems need to work flawlessly. We loved old school service that was Sloan Appliance Service in Casey S.C. While the telephone system is totally frustrating - the service technician was truly amazing. If this doesn't work out all the other repair options locally are even less reliable.
And all because the icemaker failed on a known issue tracing back to the manufacturer.
Just wanted to say thank you to Drew for checking my microwave and finding the issue. Very professional and energetic attitude. Will use Sloan Appliances again when I need help.
The technician was very nice and helpful. My gripe is that I had to pay $100 to troubleshoot my refrigerator only to find out they are not authorized to work on the faulty part, the refrigeration system……on a refrigerator! Had I been told that up front I would chosen a different option.

Very professional service and our technician, Preston Cantrell was great! Sloan replaced a trash compactor bin for us. It took a while, not because of Sloan, but because the manufacturer kept sending Sloan a damaged bin. Working with Sloan and Preston was a pleasurable experience. I would highly recommend Sloan for any appliance service!
The office staff was very pleasant and professional. The Technician was on time and very helpful. He said everything was okay with the dryer and gave us some tips on how to use it better when drying clothing. He also checked our vent to make sure it wasn't clogged. He was very helpful.
We had an issue with our brand new whirlpool washing machine that has been making an awful noise for over a week. I made an appointment and they sent Frank out and he found the problem and fixed it. He was very professional, very knowledgeable and he was on time. I will definitely be using Sloan Appliance again for the future!!

I cannot say enough good things about Daniel, the service technician that diagnosed the ice maker problem and completed the repair. The Whirlpool appliance was under warranty and they dispatched Sloan to complete the warranty work. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and thorough! On his first visit he identified the defective part, and on the return trip he installed the piece that was leaking. Problem solved. It is worth noting that the repair kit came with not only the defective part, but with all of the parts necessary to totally replace the entire ice maker assembly. He not only installed the defective part, but also the ice maker as well. He went above and beyond by verifying the new ice maker (original ice maker was not defective) was functioning properly. Because of his thoroughness, he identified that the NEW ice maker was in fact not working! He re-installed the original ice maker and verified it was functioning properly before leaving to make sure we had ice! Bottom line - GREAT job. I have not used Sloan before but because of my first experience with the company and Daniel, I will definitely be calling them in the future if any of our appliances need to be repaired.
Repair was quick and easy and Preston did a thorough job at explaining the process. Highly recommend!
Daniel M. came from Columbia to Aiken to work on our Jennaire convection/microwave oven. He was on time (and called when he was 15 minutes away) and after surviving the greeting from our 3 overly enthusiastic dogs, he quickly got to work to solve the mystery of our non working oven. He spent time helping me figure out if the appliance was still under warranty. The repair had the potential to be nearly $1200, but he tried a number of things and got it working with only the basic service call being the cost. I asked him about a burner on our stove that was not working, and I told him everything I'd done to try to fix it. He looked at it for a minute and made a suggestion to me as to how to fix. I was able to implement that fix while he was working on our oven.
So, for the price of one service call, which was reasonable, he fixed the oven and also enabled me to fix the stove.
Daniel was polite, professional and very good at his job. He could have just charged me the easy and expensive fix of replacing the control panel on my oven, but instead spent extra time working to fix the problem without me having to buy new parts. Daniel and Sloan are both very customer service focused. I definitely trust that they are not trying to take advantage of us. While I hope I don't have the need for any additional service repairs, Sloan will be the only place I call...and I will ask for Daniel.

Sloan's had some cancellations so, thank heavens, we didn't have to wait another whole week to have our Ice Machine checked--and fixed! Everyone I spoke with there was quite personable and helpful. Indeed, when I told the gentleman that called to say they could come THIS Wed. ( only called them late Monday morning). he also noted that I told him we needed to leave our house around4:45pm. So, indeed, they gave us an 11:00am-2:00pm window.
The technicia,Brett Boyleston, was very personable and highly efficient! Figured out the problem related to water not flowing related to the new filter we had put in and had it running in no time. And, I use the ice machine constantly and love that it doesn't engender "freezer burn" like a refrigirator ice MAKER does!

Once again Sloan Appliance Service and Chris have come through for me. I purchased a new washer in Jan. In March I started having issues. Chris came and repaired the part that had slipped out. Unfortunately, after 3 weeks it did the same thing. After talking with the company they sent Chris back out. He was amazing. He looked at it and when he saw it was the same thing, he called the manufacturer to figure out the problem. He was able to repair by installing an alternate updated part. He explained every step for me and did so in a very appropriate time. Sloan has been very helpful. I had no luck with the Store I purchased the washer from but Sloan gave me several suggestions by giving me Phone numbers for the manufacturer. The were very pleasant on the phone and quick about getting me an appointment as quickly as possible. Chris was right on time for both appointments. He was very professional and helpful. I would recommend this company for repairs
Daniel was awesome! He did such a great job assessing and repairing our oven! He quickly assessed the issue, looked to see if the part was in stock, and fixed our oven the same day. He was personable and fun to talk with while he worked. He didn't mind that I watched and asked questions while he tested and assessed the problem. He even took time to answer all of my questions. He is great representative of Sloan and I will definitely use Sloan Appliance Service again, requesting Daniel as my preferred repair man!

I have on several occasions used Sloan Appliance, the company is responsive, on time, Straight up honest, I am the type of person that will pay for service but don 't have the time nor inclination to play games. Tell the me the facts and lets move on towards a goal. This is the way Sloan operates. If I can't trust your company I will not deal with you. I trust Sloan Appliance can you say that about your appliance company if not you need to call Sloan.

He was also very sweet to our dog! We will be using Sloan in the future!

Sloan Appliance Service is the contracted repair service with the purchase of our Whirlpool appliances (washer & dryer) warranty program purchased through Lowe’s less than one year ago. After scheduling the repair service for our washer (balance issue) the technician, Mr Billy Jones, came to our residence to examine and evaluate the matter.
Mr Jones is awesome! He did a wonderful job correcting the matter and gave valuable advice in the operation of the appliance. He returned the appliances to there original location, cleaned the area and left a temporary moisture floor guard to protect the premises. He did an outstanding job, was very friendly and courteous.
The only reason I didn’t give Sloan Appliance Service a (5) star rating there was some confusion on there part regarding the actual scheduled time of service. It was only after I contacted their office asking the status of the technician that action seemed to take place. There was never a phone call advising us the technician would be running late. I would recommend the company reviewing their protocols in letting customers know when they will be late for an appointment. Again, Mr Jones, the technician, was awesome!

John was professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable in response to my GE washer problem. He took the time to go over every aspect of my washer to make sure it was working properly, which I appreciated. My appointment was between 2 and 5, and he didn't arrive at my house until 5, as he had been taking care of jobs in Aiken. I was glad he made it though!

Excellent service as always with Sloan Appliance. Josh was the technician that came out and I couldn't have asked for a more friendly and considerate person to deal with. I say considerate because I didn't have to ask him to wear a mask for one. And second, he put shoe covers on before coming inside. I cannot tell you how many service people we've had to ask to put on a mask! The work was also done quickly and efficiently. We'll always use this company for appliance repairs.

Zane was my technician and he was great! He explained everything that was wrong with my dryer and knew exactly what was needed to fix the issue. He came back 3 days later once the belt arrived, also replaced the switch and was out the door in roughly 20 minutes. Very professional and answered all of the questions I had. I live a long way from town, but Daniel arrived right on time both times he came out and called on the way. He was very polite, professional and wore a mask. Apparently, appliance repairmen these days have to not only know the mechanics of the appliances, now they have to know how to repair a computer. This particular dishwasher had several components blown and took a lot of time to get them talking to each other and working again. It took longer than I would have spent on it, but, Daniel was more patient and persistent, and when he left I had a quietly running, like-new dishwasher, and he had a new customer for Sloan. The tech, Chris Rosinski, called ahead to let us know he was coming. He arrived on time, introduced himself. Chris was very pleasant and professional. Chris listened as I explained what I had tried to fix the freezer not working. He was very thorough in his inspection and diagnosis of the problem. Unfortunately, the cost of the repairs (their prices are competitive) was too much for an 11 year old Samsung Refrigerator/Freezer. My wife and I opted to replace the unit. On the upside, we found a very reputable and professional service company for appliance repair. Most of the others in this area leave a lot to be desired. Hi I bought a brand new dishwasher from Lowes, a Maytag top of the line in the box and in less than a years time it had issues I called my warranty company and they sent out these other people who shall remain nameless and after 2 trips they gave up, with no warning. So when I called the warranty people back to find out what was going on they told me the first company gave up and didn't want to work on my wash anymore. @%#^*&!!! so they gave me a new company Sloan, it took them a little while to figure out what was wrong (Plus waiting on parts during this pandemic) but they never gave up keep me informed of when parts was coming in really friendly Tec's (all 3 of them) but needless to say they got me going again, all my dishes are clean and spotless and I don't have to wash dishes be hand anymore.

We had scheduled an appointment for several days in the future but asked to be notified if anything sooner became available. Sloan called and said that a technician had a few minutes between jobs and could come by right away. When he found the problem and didn't have the replacement part on his truck, he called another technician, drove to meet him and get the part, brought it back and installed it. The whole process took about half an hour. So we got our dryer fixed much sooner than expected.
I have had the unfortunate event to have appliances in need of repair. Two in the last month. Sloan sent out Wes one of their technicians.
I cant say enough about this young man. He was very professional walked me through what he was diagnosing and what was in need of repair. He gave me feedback on what caused my issue. I even requested him on my last appliance issue and I was willing to wait for his schedule to accommodate. If Sloan has these type of professionals representing them I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services..
Sloan Appliance Service was assigned to come repair our dishwasher by the warranty company. They called the day before and gave me a time window and they called before arrival and were prompt. Zane G was our service professional. He was outstanding and fixed our problem quickly and without issue. Awesome experience! I made an appointment through the Whirlpool website and was extremely pleased with my service. My service was scheduled between 10a-1p and the technician called right at 10 to say he’d be there in 5. He made quick work of the repair and was on his way in under 30 minutes. The dryer works perfectly now and we absolutely will use Sloan’s for any future appliance issues!
I recently bought a Whirlpool dishwasher and had it less than a week before it went out. From the very start I see why Whirlpool uses Sloan Appliance for their warranty work. The scheduling staff Is second to none as they were quick to reach out to me to confirm a date and time that was convenient for me for technician to come out and diagnose what was wrong with my dishwasher. The day of my appointment, the technician Jullian, called me to let me know that he would be at my house at the scheduled appointment time. Sure enough he showed up right on time. He diagnosed that the motor had a short that also shorted out the control panel. He ordered the parts and a few days later came back to install the parts. I was really impressed by the professionalism of Jullian and he explained things in way that was easy to understand. I could not be more impressed. While this was warranty work and did not cost me a penny, you can rest assured that when I do have to pay to have an appliance repaired this fine company will be my first call!

The repairmen arrived earlier than expected and had everything with him to do the job.
He ended up replacing the burner/fan unit in our new Kitchen Aid oven.
I mentioned that my wife wanted the hardwood floors covered before he worked on the oven. Not a problem because he had a protective floor guard he used to assist with this.

My washer stopped in the middle of the wash cycle with error code OE. Of course I google it to see what it was, drain pump. Tried emptying washer and restarting but did not work. I have used Sloan Appliance Service before so I looked them up online and made the appointment. I was disappointed I had to wait almost 2 weeks but the Technician was wonderful and very respectful wearing his mask in my home during this unusual time. He had me up and running in about an hour. Very happy customer and I will use them again if the need arises.

Chris Rosinski came to my house today to service my whirlpool washing machine. I’ve never met such a nice man! He was personable and patient as my toddler returned time and time again to hand him toys and shoes while he worked. He was very knowledgeable and gave me practical advice to extend the life of my machine. It is so rare to meet someone like him these days. If you need any service make sure you ask for him by name.

Justin Childress came to replace my ice maker as per previous inspection...BUT on inspecting the refrigerator he spotted a primary cable to the unit was totally disconnected. It was was in back and hard to see..but he saw it. On connecting the wire it worked as designed. Justin's attention to detail saved us over $300 on unnecessary part part replaement. In addition we has a problem with a lower freezer shelf.....He spotted the problem as a side slide bar that would not stay comnedted. and instslled a small retaining screw. Every thing works like new. Sloan s should be proud to have such a professionally minded employee.
They came out when they were scheduled and quickly did what they were supposed to do. I would definitely recommend them.

(He offered to remove the part he just installed and not charge me for it after he was done the work, when he realized our washer was having another problem that would mean buying a new washer sometime in the near future. We decided to take our chances and keep the repair, but were grateful he had given us the option. He also suggested a brand that would fit our needs when it did become necessary.)
Since my issue was not urgent, the appointment was scheduled a few days off from my phone call.
I will use Sloan again.
Our 8 year old refrigerator stopped working sometime Saturday evening 11/1/2014. We noticed it the next morning and new we had to go out and shop for a new refrigerator on a Sunday morning. We did that for half the day and could not make up our minds and decided to go home and break out the coolers. We also decided to call Sloan Appliance, whom we had service some of our appliances before, the next day and see if they could come and check it out. To our surprise Joann, customer service, was able to work us in that same morning, Monday 11-3 by noon.
Within 25 minutes of Frank arriving at our home, on the agreed upon time, he had replaced the control board and he was handing me a Thank-you package which included coupons for future repairs on any appliance.
We found again that Sloan Appliance gives you professional, courteous, fast service from the initial phone contact to the punctuality of the arrival of the technician, in our case Frank. Upon answering the door Frank introduced himself and we proceeded to the kitchen. Frank is a professional, friendly man that doesn't waste any time doing what needs to be done.

02/05/21: Billy completed the repairs in a professional manner today.. Refrigerator is working again (more than a month w/o a refrigerator isn’t easy) I was disappointed with a $440.00 price tag (100.00 initial appointment and 340.00 today) I was told the cover replacement estimate was between 300-400 but I thought that included the original 100.00. I’ve learned a few lessons during this repair process.

My 2 experiences with my Whirlpool service technician were professional. I wish appointments for repairs weren’t delayed for weeks. I understand COVID has created unprecedented issues. Living w/o a refrigerator and/or freezer is difficult. Currently, my fresh food compartment is not cooling and we have not had a refrigerator since Christmas.
I requested an appointment online 12/25/20. Billy a professional and friendly, Technician arrived on 1/8/21, to evaluate why the refrigerator is not cooling. Since 1/20/21, I have contacted Sloan costumer service several times to query the status of my service. On 1/26, I was assured the part was ordered and an appointment to install will be scheduled.
This past year my refrigerator has been serviced by Sloan for three repairs. Both appointments took more than 2 weeks to schedule. Each assessments required additional parts to be ordered except for the door gasket (which already is peeling apart similarly to the one replaced). A new gasket was installed when the freezer issue was initially evaluated. My freezer repair took a few more weeks. Unfortunately, the wrong part was ordered which delayed the repair. Sadly, my refrigerator repair costs this past year have continued adding up. A new right fresh food door gasket approximately 260.00; ice maker 400, my fingers are crossed the new board and repair costs for my latest issue will be reasonable and Sloan will verify if my issue was cited for any recall since my warranty is out of date but the refrigerator is less than 3 years old.
My refrigerator repair was scheduled promptly and the service tech arrived as scheduled. He was very courteous and seemed very knowledgeable. He was able to make the repair in the one trip and finished the job very quickly and explained the repair and what to do if there were any problems.
Technician was very knowledgeable and upfront with problematic issues on refrigeration repair! Also was professional and appeared to enjoy his work and sought solutions! I have a high level of confidence in this company!
I called in reference to a gear case leaking oil in my washer. I was advised to consider buying a new washer as the repair come close to a new one. I decided on the repair. Wesley F came out and took my washer completely apart. There was NO way I or any layman could repair this ourselves. He figured everything out, changed out the gear case, re-assembled the entire washer, tested it, calibrated it and I am back to normal. Wes is trained very well and explained what he was doing. The repair took two hours and I am impressed with his professionalism. I will keep an eye on the washer. I have a 30 day warranty on his work which is great for me. I have washed several loads of laundry and there are no leaks. Thank you Sloan Appliance for having Wesley F. represent your business. I will recommend or use Sloan Appliance in the future.

I made an appointment online and an email confirmation was sent the day before to confirm and the technician called before coming. When he arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem with the refrigerator filter base. Before he arrived someone at the store had pre ordered the part that they thought I would need and made sure he had it on his truck. This is a great service to not have to order the part and then come back to install it! I was very pleased with the technician and the service!!
Our technician, Daniel Moak, did a great job making repairs on our refrigerator/freezer and microwave. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and went about and beyond during his visit. He also had a dog cookie for my dog.
Our repairman was great. He went out of his way to put us at ease and quickly went about his work. We had the same issue twice with the same part. It was a little odd that the second time the part was not ordered ahead of time when he came to fix our oven, but they quickly tried to rectify that and bumped us up on the list when the part came in.
I chose this company because of the Google Reviews. Even the poor reviews had responsible and respectful follow up comments. I was not disappointed. From the customer care service over the phone setting up the appointment, to the day of the service. The gentleman that arrived was courteous and informative about the parts and costs needed for our refrigerator. I hope not to need their service again for many years, but if I do, I will not hesitate calling. If supporting local businesses, expecting great customer service, receiving knowledgeable and professional representative in your home, and fair prices for service and parts received, you won't hesitate calling either!
I have used Sloan for years and they are always honest and qualified to fix all my appliance repair needs. What I like best is that, if you want, a tech will call you BEFORE he comes to your house to discuss the problem so that you can get a good idea about what the problem may really be and what it will probably cost. After have a different company come to look at our washing machine, we were told me needed new water pump. Called Sloans and they sent out a wonderful technician. Guess what?? As it turns-out, we did not need a water pump!!! They were honest, prompt, polite and very informative. We will never us another repair service! Sloan Customer FOR LIFE!!

Our new Whirlpool fridge has been a total lemon but working through/with Sloan Appliance to get it repaired has been excellent. Billy Jones is the best, they need more techs like him. He always calls 30 minutes prior to arriving, we talk through the process of the repair while he is on-site and he leaves the work area like he found it.
After a recall claim with Bosch, I contacted Sloan as the provider of choice based on online reviews. While the repair did not go perfectly due to Bosch sending the wrong part (twice), Billy Jones, the Sloan Service Tech, was able to identify the correct part on the internet and had it ordered and installed within a few days. I appreciated their persistence to solve the issue, despite the manufacturer not providing the correct control module. 3 visits to the house and I was never asked to pay anything for this recall work.
In addition, all of the visits were scheduled efficiently in advance of the service date through the home office and the technician always arrived within the scheduled 3hr service window.
Overall, a very good experience and I would definitely recommend Sloan Appliances and their service tech, Billy Jones, to anyone needing repair.

Actually, Sherrod diagnosed the washer as a plumbing problem, so was not able to repair it. However, while he was on the washer service call, I asked about my dryer and he was able to diagnose the dryer problem as well and get that part ordered. When the dryer part came in, an appointment was made. The day of the appointment, Sherrod called and asked if he could come a little early and I gladly said yes. Sherrod came and had my dryer working properly in 10 minutes. He was polite, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly! Also, he wore a mask the entire time he was here!
I had a problem with an appliance and I called Sloane Appliance Repair. Ashlyn in the office was so helpful and promptly gave me an appointment for Frank to make a home visit. Frank was very professional and courteous. He is also very knowledgeable! Frank gave 120% to our job. Even though it's taken us a while to get it resolved, the tech is always friendly and is, obviously, working hard to resolve the problem. I would highly recommend Sloan's!
I called a competitor first that offers a lower price on service calls. I found myself wating over 2 weeks after 3 reschedules and then a no show.
So I had low expectations when i called Sloan appliance. But I was amazed at the excellent service , he arived early and truly did a fantastic job.
We were originally told it would be more than 10 days before they could come fix our refrigerator but they would call if there was a cancellation. They called Two days later and after being here for 15 minutes, diagnosed the issue and fixed within an hour. Fantastic service and the service man was very professional. I highly recommend.

I could not have been more satisfied with the service I received from a Sloan Appliance Center’s repair technician, Frank. He greeted me at my front door with a handshake and a smile. While he was here, he was extremely knowledgeable, very efficient, and exercised the utmost professionalism. He had several problems with my Samsung dryer corrected very quickly with friendly conversation the whole time. If I were an employer, I would definitely want Frank on my team!
The technician took extra precautionary steps upon entering our home during Covid-19 for the repair. He was very professional and left the area of the repair just as tidy as it was before he arrived. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue during the initial visit and efficiently performed the repair during his follow-up visit. With all the extra laundry we're doing lately, the quick repair of our dryer was much appreciated!

My dryer is only 5 years old! Suddenly it stopped tumbling. I called Sloan and they sent this wonderful technician named Josh! He got the dryer up and running even though we needed to wait for a part. Then he came back and installed the part. Each of his visits were great experiences. Josh was prompt, very polite and friendly. He cleaned up all the accumulated lint and didn’t make me feel like an idiot for having enough lint under my dryer to qualify as a pet! It is rare to find a business whose employees are as dedicated to customer service as an owner of a company would hope. Highly recommend!

A mixed review...the work was good, quick and on time. The cost seemed excessive. Sloan evidently charges an upfront fee for each appliance (we had two that we thought needed some attention) and we arranged for the visit to be on the same day. One appliance actually was not broken. The repairman had to come back to fix the other although we had explained that the oven hinges were broken. He came on time, fixed the oven door in about 30 minutes and all we ended up with a total bill of almost $400. Since we know that there is built in obsolescence in almost all machines, we are all at the mercy of repair people. We know they need to make a living, but short, uncomplicated jobs should not be so expensive.
Just had another GREAT experience with Sloan Appliance (my family has been using them for years). I submitted an online service call request this past Sunday b/c my freezer hasn't been cooling well. They called me first thing Monday to schedule an appointment for Wednesday morning and were able to accommodate my request to be the 1st appointment of the day.
Patrick, the service technician, arrived on time and called when he was on the way. He was able to figure out the problem in about 5 minutes and not only explained it to me, but actually showed me what was wrong, which I really appreciated since I don't speak "appliance".
Unfortunately, the repairs would cost about the same as a new unit and Patrick could tell I was stressed about the shopping process, so he gave me some great advice on what brand of unit to buy and which brands end up having the most repairs!
Then, I got a follow up call this morning from Chris in the main office this morning. He was able to answer a few more questions I had about different types of units on the market today and where to buy locally.

I've used Sloan for the past ten years and consistently have gotten great service. Today I called to make sure they service a particular brand refrigerator before I buy a new one. My old one is an LG and when we called them out a while ago to fix the icemaker they couldn't get a part for it. We've been filling ice trays since! When I talked to Ashley I told her what I was doing she offered to look it up and see if they were now able to get LG parts. No luck with it, but as I told her about my space issues which prevents me from being able to buy just anything, she offered to give me the model and serial # of my current one so I could look it up on line and make sure I get a new one that will be the same dimensions. I was so impressed with her! I've always had great service from every encounter with the people at Sloan and will continue to recommend them to my friends!

Had a problem with our 15 year old refrigerator. It was getting too cold on the refrigeration side & then the water filter component broke so it couldn't make ice or dispense water. Called Sloan's and they scheduled an appointment for a couple of days later. It took a couple of visits to get parts and to get everything finally working but Darryl was always prompt & courteous! I'll definitely call them the next time I need an appliance serviced.

They were able to come earlier than expected, which was a help. When Paul got here he was wearing a mask and gloves, which we were thrilled about. He did what he thought would fix the problem with our refrigerator, and did not charge us for more than the service fee because it was minor. We were told that if the problem was not fixed within 30 days, they would come again without a service fee. Unfortunately, we are still having a problem. They were very responsive and apologetic when I called to tell them, and someone will be back again next week.
Sloan has repairmen that truly know what they are doing when it comes to fixing washing machines. We have never had anything else for them to work on, but I assume they are just as good on other home appliances. I highly recommend them!

Couldn't be happier. Our 9 year old Whirlpool dryer broke down. (Tumble but no heat) Sloan Appliance was recommended by a neighbor so I called and scheduled an appointment. The technician Erik was very professional friendly and courteous. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a burned out heating element. He had one on the truck and was able to get the dryer repaired on the spot. While there he also shared with us some great professional advice about our current washer. The entire visit took less than an hour. I will definitely use Sloan for any future appliance repairs.
Ben Creel came and diagnosed problem with Whirlpool Cabrio washer and explained it and discussed options with us. No BS and his honesty was much appreciated. Note that he came just when he said he would; answered our many questions; easily worked with the electronics and mechanics of the Cabrio.
I had 2 issues with my Samsung french door dual icemaker refrigerator. The technician knew exactly what the problems were from my descriptions. He even explained one was an admitted problem Samsung has with the top icemaker. He explained the fix and price for both issues. He even explained the top icemaker issue would not cause any other problems if I did not want to fix it at this time or in the future. That to me shows an honest technician that understands a happy customer is a repeat customer. Bottom line...he had both issues fixed in a couple hours including the time it took to go get one of the parts from a store across town from my address. I have Sloan's on speed dial now!
Shawn Jones was awesome to work with at Sloan. I highly recommend them for your appliance repair. They are good, honest, ethical people to work with.
Setting up an appointment is easy over the phone and they ask for your appliance model and serial number along with the problem you are having. The service employee then comes to your house prepared with the parts that need replacing. The service employees are very conscientious and competent and make sure your appliance is in good working order.
Sloan communicated quickly and efficiently, showed up on time and did an excellent job.
Additionally, Nigel the technician who performed our service was courteous, professional, respectful and efficient. Can't emphasize enough how well he presented himself.

It was 2 weeks until Julian came for the appointment. He was on time, professional, courteous and very competent. He diagnosed and fixed my problem with refrigerator. Also told be what to look for over the rest of the day. So I was very comfortable with the outcome
Was referred to them from my warranty provider on my Maytag Washer that was less than a year old (wiring harness neutral broke due to a zip-tie being installed too tightly). They showed up when they said they would, diagnosed the problem quickly, but did not have the replacement part (only bummer about it). They came back out in about 3 days and were able to quickly make the repair and have the washer up and running again. The tech, Eric, was very courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable and was like inviting a family member into my home. Will use them again if necessary (hope I don't have to, but will call them if I do!)

Our washing machine was not working quite right, Sloan promptly sent out a friendly, professional technician to evaluate the issue, order and install the new part and had us back up and running in no time. I would certainly recommend them and call them again in the future.
UPDATE: Owner called me several days later, after seeing my post. He explained that he was unaware of situation and would send someone out. Next week, tech from Sloan came out and evaluated issue and said he would have an install specialist contact me because my frame had come loose. That person came out today, and repaired loose frame and secured my oven to wall. So Happy my oven is not wobbly anymore, and that Sloan appliance’s owner got involved and did right thing.
ORiGINAL Post:Josh had to replace several parts on my wall oven, which took several weeks and about 5-6 visits. Once, wrong color part was ordered. During all this, my oven had to be pulled in and out of wall cabinet at least 3 times, possibly more. I was always very pleasant and patient, even though I felt wrong color control board was a major misstep. Fast forward, 4 months later: OVEN FELL OFF SCREWS! I called them to have them remedy situation because it appeared to me (I’m no appliance repair person, but a female), that the screw heads were smaller than the holes in the oven, and all of them slid off leaving screws still in frame. Felt if the screw heads were larger than screw hole openings in oven that this could not have happened. Feel this was due to vibrations from opening and closing oven door and it just took 4 months before it slid off of screws. Now it is wobbly. Needless to say, manager refused to stand behind their work, and wanted to charge me a $95 service call and who knows how much else to remedy situation. They were already paid by Whirlpool because oven was still under warranty when repair was done. This demonstrates how greedy and unethical this company is.
The person sent to address my problem was very courteous and professional. When he realized this would require adding a new type vent, he recommended another company, They came out the next day and the whole experience was very satisfactory from my contacting Sloan to the last person. Gayle
My aunt who lives in South Carolina called me for advice when her washing machine was acting up - She isn't computer savvy so I searched the internet for an appliance repair Columbia SC service and found Sloan. I gave her the number and she arranged the service. She called me back later that afternoon to tell me how great they were. She will be recommending this company to several of her friends who are single female homeowners and need home service providers that they feel comfortable with.

I will never have the need to try another appliance service. My washer/dryer is 35 years old. Dishwasher 20,stove,oven range,etc. over 15. Thanks to Frank everything keeps working.
I needed to replace the rubber gasket around the door on my dishwasher, part quoted to me 95.00 (fine). Service call 95.00 (fine), final bill 301.00. no tools required, repair man was here less than 10 mins, pressed gasket into place, 200.00 labor. I CALLED and asked for adjustment, initially was told NO, that is standard repair. Three/four days later after a negative review, the president contacted me and explained his tech used the wrong charge code and he would refund 40.00 of labor. The repair was effective, but still concerned about over charging, and fighting to get it corrected
ZANE was an exceptional and thorough technician ! Not only did he diagnosis the problem, he explained it, explained how the problem was solved and gave me helpful hints on extending the life of my refrigerator and other appliances. He was very knowledgeable and personable! Excellent service! He also had a technician in training with him, CHAD. Zane made sure that Chad was understanding what was being done. Chad was helpful and informative as well.
Tech was knowledgeable, identified the problem quickly, and knew the solution. Also checked for some other known problems with the washer.
Sloan Appliance repaired my GE refrigerator and GE under-counter ice machine. They were extremely easy to schedule. The technician was prompt, courteous, cleaned up afterwards, and made sure the work was done correctly. I highly recommend them!
I am very pleased with the level of service and professionalism I get from Sloan. Since they are the only Samsung repair team in the area, I was afraid that they'd charge me and arm and a leg for service. I had a problem with my Bosch dishwasher not cleaning my dishes. The technician, Ben Creed, arrived on time, was polite, wore shoe covers to prevent tracking water (it was raining cats and dogs) into my home, was very knowledgeable, diagnosed the problem quickly and my dishwasher issues were resolved completely! Our technician was knowledgeable and recognize the problem immediately He then showed me the two potential solutions (only one of which would work) and the cost. As the the repair ended being the higher cost, he then gave the cost of a replacement washer versus repair. Technician presented a professional appearance and demeanor.
Our (elderly) dishwasher motor failed right in the middle of very hot weather. I was afraid there would be a delay in getting service. Not so. They sent a repairman the same day we called. The repairman chose an affordable solution rather than sell us a new dishwasher. He worked quickly and efficiently. That was several months ago & the dishwasher still works perfectly. I wish I could remember the repairman's name. He was pleasant and informative. This was one of our best ever appliance repair experiences.

Sloan is amazing! I received a call 20 mins prior to their arrival time and the guy was prompt! Scherod W. showed up and was so polite. He took a look at my dryer and determined there was nothing wrong with it, rather the outside vent was plugged. Here's where it gets good - he actually offered to climb a ladder and clean it out, then noticed my neighbors was plugged too so cleaned that out as well! I was shocked! Where in the world can you find service like that? Talk about "above and beyond!" Can't say enough about this young man and the company he works for! Superb service! Will definitely be using Sloan Appliance repair in the future!

This review starts from a Bosh recall! We were given 3 appliance companies to contact, Sloan was one of the three. Due to the recall we waited several days. The wait was well worth it! Jarid Odum was prompt, courteous & professional! Little did Jarid know what a fight it would be, when he tried to pull our dishwasher. I knew it was serious when sweat was on his brow & jacket came off!! Determined he was, he was going to win!! Jarid came to do his job, and easily could have said we would have to call someone to fix a mess, best buy's installer created not doing the past install correctly. Jarid worked tirelessly to free the dishwasher, caught on linoleum, that should have been removed, before they installed the tile! Jarid began to install the new cord, only to find that the opening in the first place, was to small for the new cord & still remained professional & did what he needed to do the replacement correctly!
In today's world, people seem so frustrated & eager to get it done...no matter what!
I, without a doubt, would use Sloan Appliance again & suggest others use this company!! I would request Jarid Odum, knowing the job was done as if he were fixing his own appliance!

Came out for a warranty call on our Frigidaire Fridge to look at the meat drawyer. Very friendly and helpful and even took a look at my dishwasher for free. Found the problem and put it on order will be back to replace in a week or so. Very happy with the customer service.

The technician was Joseph Pearce. He was courteous and professional. He showed us what part was broken on our washing machine and gave us good recommendations on whether or not to fix the machine. He gave us a three hour window of time of service and showed up at our house within the first hour.
