It's a controller board and they are no longer available & expensive to replace so will be shopping for a new stove as it's the original when house was built. The fireplace looks wonderful after the cleaning and logs were put back correctly. . Highly recommend them and would use again without hesitation!

Great people to work with and very prompt. They diagnosed my dishwasher issue, got the parts quickly and got it back working within a week. The delay was they had to order parts but the parts came quicker and they were right on it to get it repaired. Very friendly customer service and the technician was very knowledgeable and professional. The only reason Im not giving them 5 stars it they do not give you an itemized invoice. When I asked about it I was told they dont do that, you just get the final number with no breakdown of cost. The Technician did however provide me a rough estimate of the breakdown when I ask about it. I prefer to see what the breakdown is on my invoice. I do recommend these guys for any appliance repair. Their work is first class. Update: The office folks reached out to me after this review and provided an itemized invoice. Thats real customer service, and I have revised my 4 stars to 5. Was able to call & immediately get a date & time scheduled to have our malfunctioning washing machine looked at the following day. The service tech (Joe) arrived as scheduled & quickly diagnosed the issue & gave us the quote for the repair. Had to order the part, but it arrived in just a couple days & Joe returned promptly and had it installed quickly & professionally & at the quoted price. Highly recommend this company!

The manufacturer told me originally it was not, but their expertise gave me the needed info to challenge the manufacturer. The manufacturer then agreed to fix for free. Our gas fireplace fan system did not seem to be working. As a result, the face and mantle above it would get very hot quickly. Matt diagnosed the problem as an improperly installed wire that was preventing one fan from turning. He fixed it, checked everything, cleaned the glass and the fireplace, replaced the wall switch, and explained that the fan switch could be left on as it has a thermal sensor that turns it on at a certain temperature and off when the fireplace cools down. Very friendly and professional. Highly recommend for gas fireplace issues.

Gas fireplace starting intermittantly at about 40%. Wall switch and themopile voltage drops were out of tolerances. Wall switcvh due to corrosion and thermopile due to heat/age. Joe replaced thermopile and wall switch (which was covered by a 500 pound entertainment center cabinet so he had to go after it "sideways" with a ratchet and phillips head screwdriver). He cleaned the box and burner components and glass so we're good for another 5-7 years or so. He was on time (window was 2-5pm and he was at the front door at 2:05pm). When he left you couldn't tell he was even there. Clean up was 100%. Fireplace looks like new.

I have a Kitchen Aid freestanding ice maker that I have had for many years. In 2015 Cody came out and replaced an electrical board and it worked great! Yesterday I had to call again because a coupler that connects copper tubing to plastic water tubing had developed a leak. Cody came right out and fixed the ice maker for me. He is a very nice and extremely polite gentleman. He even jump my vehicle so I could go get a new battery. Excellent service!!

I have used them twice, first for a refrigerator and this time for a dryer. Both of the employees were outstanding! They go above and beyond. This time it was the heating element on the dryer. Not only did he replace that but oiled and inspected the entire dryer, cleaned the air vent clear to the outside. He also noticed that the washer hose needed to be secured so he did that. GREAT Staff and company.

Highly recommend Cody’s Appliance. Just had one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. Our refrigerator stopped getting cold over the weekend. Called Cody’s at 8:00am and they were here by 11:30am and had the part needed and repaired by 12:15. Our technician Adam C. was fantastic. Clean, nice, efficient and very knowledgeable. Reasons for 5 star rating: 1. They answered the phone 5 min before closing and still spent plenty of time helping me in a friendly manner. 2. Put me on a wait list 3. Was able to work us in within a couple days 4. Serviceman was on time, super nice and professional 5. I can't believe..he took a photo of the items in the fridge, took them out before repair, and used photo to return them to their exact location! Who does that! Most places make you responsible for moving items out of the way. 6. He had the part needed with him 7. Cost was less than expected. Sometimes people forget that you're paying their wages and if you want knowledge, experience and dependability, they should make a good wage. Going with the lowest price can compromise excellent service. You get what you pay for... I will use Cody's for all my appliance repairs in the future!!

They quickly found a new pump but it took a week to get it from the supplier. Once the part was received they scheduled a repair within a few day. The service technician was professional. My refrigerator was leaking water *inside*, enough to where I needed to place a bowl in the refrigerator to catch the water. I went onto Google to find a appliance repair company as this was the first time I needed to have an appliance fixed. I narrowed down my search to "Cody's" as they had the most positive reviews. The reviews were spot on. Cody's was amazing. Adam C. was the technician who came to my house. He was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. He was able to pinpoint the problem quickly and explained *thoroughly* what was wrong with my refrigerator and the repair needed. (side note: the repair cost was WAY below what I was expecting!). I highly recommend Cody's. If in the future I have any any appliance repair needs Cody's is who I will call. If all of Cody's technicians are as wonderful as Adam you can't go wrong :)

Update 2019: I broke my wash machine on Sunday. I called Cody’s on Monday morning and Adam came over to do the repairs on Tuesday afternoon which was great because it was right before Thanksgiving and I needed to do laundry. Adam was very professional and fixed my washer and dryer (old issue) quickly and cleaned all the vents as well. He showed me how to take care of the appliances so they would last longer (e.g how to clean them and what types of products to use). He left a water alarm and gave me some free detergent samples. Very happy with the excellent service! Original review from 2018: I called the company on Wednesday because my dryer broke. They sent a repairman to my house on Friday morning. Adam did a great job, explained everything, was very professional and worked fast. Excellent service! I will definitely contact them in the future when needed.

We’ve hired Cody’s Appliance Repair twice now. First for our Whirlpool Fridge, and then our Whirlpool Dryer. Both were about 10 years old and stopped working. Bother were able to be repaired on the spot (no need to take more time to get new parts like so many other companies have complaints about) and both were very affordable (under $200). They were on time, in and out in under an hour, moved things around for access and put back exactly as it was... I’ll always call these guys for repairs before looking into buying new. They do good work.

We suspected our gas fireplace was not working properly so we contacted Cody’s appliance repair. It was easy to reach a customer service representative and get an appointment scheduled for the following day. We were emailed a time frame and then received a text from the technician, Berle, letting us know his time of arrival. Berle was right on time and very professional. He quickly determined that when the fireplace was originally installed the wires had been crossed, which meant the blowers would not work. He repaired this problem and performed a tuneup for a reasonable fee. We then asked Berle to check on our dishwasher that did not seem to be working properly. He was able to confirm the dishwasher is indeed broken. Because the dishwasher is about a year old he recommended we contact the place that installed the appliance to see if it can be repaired under warranty. If not, he will be able to refer us to another associate within this firm who is knowledgeable on dishwashers. We are confident they will do a great job assisting us with this situation as well. Without a doubt, we highly recommend this company for ALL your appliance needs.

Adam C. came over to look at our non-draining dishwasher. He put on a mask and booties before entering. And, he was even nice to our animals. He was very nice, fast and professional. After the repairs were done, he even showed me the issue and explained how it impacted the dishwasher. He cleaned up after the repair. I highly recommend this business.

And, he also noticed the type of fridge we have and let us know he recently saw a service bulletin on the ice maker and provided us with details on how to contact the manufacturer about the known issue. I was really impressed by the service I received from Cody's Appliance. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the woman who took my call, but she was delightful and created a very good first impression. I was given a 3 hr. window for my appointment. Adam, my service technician, called toward the beginning of the appointment window to tell me he was 10 minutes out. When he arrived he came prepared with shoe covers. All I needed was to have the pilot light started on a gas fireplace. Adam started it and then turned it off and had me restart it so I'd be sure to know how to do it. He then proceeded to disassemble it, clean the glass, adjust the flame, and add some ember material. He also suggested that we leave the screen off to improve the appearance of the fireplace. In other words, he went above and beyond to give me the most value he could for the price of the service call. And he left us with a vastly more attractive fireplace than we previously had. I plan to use Cody's for all my appliance repair work and will request Adam whenever possible.

Updated October 2019 I had cleaned my gas oven/stove with oven cleaner. Upon using the broiler it hissed out gas which I immediately shut it all down. Cody's repair - Andy came out and very carefully went over the whole oven/stove unit. He repaired the broiler, then checked the stove where he fixed the wiring on one of the burners. He came back out when I thought I'd smelled gas. He found a small leak at the gas line connection to the oven regulator...no tape was on the connection when it was installed! Cody's is my go to repair for all my house hold appliance issues. They are amazing and stand behind their work. I had a great experience! I called them to repair an older dryer that was squeaking so loud that I couldn't even use the dryer. I called on Friday and they sent someone out the next Tuesday and he showed up at the exact scheduled time and called me before arriving. When he figured out the problem he showed me exactly what was wrong and what he needed to do to fix the problem. He fixed the belt that went bad and he replaced some screws that were missing, fixed the door that didn't close properly and vacuumed out the whole inside. There was great communication and reminders for what time to expect Adam this morning, and he was right on time, with a mask on and covers for his shoes (we wore our masks too because we want to protect him also!). He re-lit our gas fireplace, cleaned it up and it is running better than it has in years. We have had trouble with our dryer putting a lot of steam throughout the house and he figured out the problem right away, cleaned the whole system out, and gave us a few pointers to keep from getting in this trouble again any time soon. Andy was great. He couldn’t save my dead dishwasher but he checked my refrigerator condenser coils and my dryer vents while he was here. The control board was shot on the dishwasher so too expensive forms to want to repair. But he vacuumed all the water out of it so that it wouldn’t be in there growing bacteria. Our experience with the team at Cody’s clearly shows that the ownership not only built a company based on solid service company principles, but also a culture that attracts talented employees and then empowers those employees to use their talents. This company should be a case study for business classes for aspiring entrepreneurs. Our experience was exceptional from the individual the took our initial call for service, ordering of the part, appointment scheduling, confirmation of part and service appointment, explanation of pricing, service technician appointment time arrival confirmation, service technician arrival, problem diagnosis, service price estimate based on diagnosis, appliance service, appliance repair, and service payment; not one step of this service experience was handled less than promptly and professionally. Most of our interaction with the company was with our service technician, Andy. Andy is friendly, polite, courteous, very knowledgeable and completely professional. He completely inspected our washer for any potential problems and replaced the non-functioning part. He also secured our water extraction hose and placed a water detection sensor to help prevent and notify us of any potential future problems. It was a sloppy snowy day outside, but Andy covered his shoes with booties, vacuumed the area around the washer, and took the replaced part, wiped the washer and the floor around the washer before leaving. Only the now working washer was evidence that Andy had ever been in the house. All of this done in the time promised from the initial call to the company and at the estimated price quoted. Nothing more can be said of Cody’s Appliance Repair from the ownership to their employees including service technician Andy, than this is the definition of excellence in service. I called this morning - our side by side fridge was dying. The folks on the phone were friendly and thorough. They were upfront about the basic cost for a service call, and that price would be applied to the price of whatever repairs I wanted done. They sent someone out that afternoon. Shane was very knowledgable and was able to diagnose the problem with the board very quickly. Soldering iron in hand, he repaired the board (unheard of to me! Normally, I've had repair places immediately charge hundreds for a new board!). He hooked it all back up and my fridge is very cool! At every step of the way, Shane was willing to explain to me what steps he was taking to diagnose the problem, and how he was arriving at his conclusions (I'm an engineer, so I tend to be very inquisitive). He never made me feel like I was in the way, but was interested in explaining what he was doing. The whole experience was wonderful! I scheduled an appointment online to have our gas fireplace cleaned around 6:30 am. I was very surprised and happy to receive a phone call back before 8:00 am! The person calling to confirm scheduling was nice and very professional. When I hung up the phone I was smiling. I felt that this was going to be a good experience from that moment on. I was not disappointed. On the day of the scheduled maintenance, Berle T. phoned about 30 minutes ahead of his arrival. Berle was respectful of our house and our pets. During his first visit to clean our gas fireplace before leaving Berle asked if there was anything else we might need to have looked at. I asked him to take a look at our Samsung refrigerator which had freezing on the back panel. As soon as he opened the door he knew exactly what the problem was, explained that a part needed to be ordered to correct the problem, and gave us an estimate for the work to be done. We immediately gave him the go ahead and within a week or so, we have a beautifully clean fireplace and a refrigerator that works perfectly. Thanks Cody’s for supplying a great service. Jeremy was right on time. He checked my Fridge and my washer, as something was leaking but I was not sure where it was coming from. He found a clogged drain and cleared that for me. I called Cody's Monday September 30, 2019 to schedule a visit to look at our Washer. It would not go into the spin cycle. We were scheduled immediately for a visit on Tuesday morning. Andy H. arrived promptly, proceeded to review the condition and within 30 minutes had discovered the problem. Although the part was not on the truck, Andy immediately left and returned within 30 minutes with a new part and completed the work. In, addition, he verified we had good vent flow for our dryer as well as installing a water leak detector behind the washer. My washing machine was generating an error code that indicated a pump problem. I called Cody's on Wednesday and they were able to dispatch a repairman, Shane, on Thursday. Shane confirmed the pump issue and installed a new one that resolved the problem. I called Cody's Appliance Repair about problems I have with my dishwasher and refrigerator. Tyler took my call, listened to my problems then said he would have a technician call me back. John called back within five minutes. I have high levels of anxiety when talking to salesmen-type people on the phone but John (and Tyler) were so comfortable to talk to that it put me right at ease and I was able to discuss the problems with him. John said the dishwasher is about 10 years old so I will probably replace it soon, anyway. John then told me that he sensed I was comfortable working on equipment and that I could probably replace the ice maker myself and he gave me the website where I could get a replacement and he even gave me the part number. I was really surprised with how open and honest John was and his concern about me making the best decision for me. When I hung up the phone my wife, who was listening, said she couldn't believe what she heard. She said John is absolutely amazing. He could have easily convinced us to spend $600.00 or more but instead he told us where we could get the part for less and how to install it. Cody's Appliance Repair will have our business from now on. I recommend them to everyone because of their honesty and forthcoming.
