Sales Associate George was awesome in helping us select our new microwave. He was knowledgeable about the products and very personable. In 4 days they will deliver and install our product… all before Christmas. This was our first time to shop in Bray and Scarff appliances, but it won’t be our last. I already picked out a new washer and dryer for purchase in the New Year! Thank you Mr. George!!

There is never any pressure to upgrade your initial inquiry. If asked they provide excellent insight into the competitive products. Completed transaction via text. My refrigerator needed to be replaced. I sent an inquiry and was sent information as soon as the store opened. Chanel did a great job of answering all of my questions making me feel completely comfortable with buying a large appliance this way. There were no hiccups. My refrigerator was delivered in three days by an exceptional delivery team. I highly recommend utilizing Bray and Scarf for your next appliance purchase.

I will update my review whenever I receive the dryer. For now this is the story, I purchased a dryer online for a sale going on. $750 sounded good for a $1,000 machine. However, nowhere on the site nor in my cart did it indicate that it was back ordered! I got a call 30min after the purchase from the store that then let me know it was back ordered and they would call whenever they got it in stock to set up delivery. You would think they should have stock availability on their site as some people need things in certain time frames. On top of that, the $750 dryer turned into a $1,400 purchase after all of their fees were attached! Almost doubling the price! Including a almost $300 5yr warranty that they say if you follow their guidelines and never call them for anything over that 5yr period that they’ll give you a gift card to their store so you have to come back to spend that money again! Another side note, read all of their fine print!!! They tell you very clearly that upon delivery they are going to charge you extra for each and every thing they do upon walking through your doorway! Such as a charge for more than 5 steps, a fee if you don’t disconnect your old dryer, a fee for small hallways, and they tell you that they are in no way responsible for any damage to your home or new machine! If they make a mess, it’s your to clean up, and the list goes on!! Read everything!.. Hopefully I receive my dryer at some point and delivery goes smooth so that I can have some kind of positive update for this review, but this is it for now!

My shopping experience at Bray and Scarff was excellent. The sales staff were all helpful, listened to my needs and interests, and served me efficiently. They were able to locate the washer and dryer I wanted in stock and set up a quick and convenient delivery. The rebates were also a nice addition to my purchase.

I’ve been going to B & S for many years. They only sell top notch appliances. I’ve never had ONE.SINGLE.PROBLEM. They service their own appliances and their technicians are certified in the different brands they carry. Appliances from the big box stores may be less expensive, but the quality is not comparable. Our big box purchases always broke without exception. Go to B & S. You won’t be disappointed.

I went into Bray & Scarff yesterday looking for a refrigerator to replace the Samsung refrigerator I purchased on January 2020, due to the motor making loud noises enough to awaken me from my sleep. Immediately Mr. George Abu asked how he could assist me and I explained what my needs were, I was very impressed because he showed me all the units that met my needs I was very impress with his customer service skills, I told him when I need a washer or dryer I would be back to him again. He explained to me the entire transaction line by line as I am a senior citizen. Thank you so much for being there to explain everything to me and giving me all the paperwork of my transaction.

We originally went to a "big box" store to look at appliances. We needed a dishwasher and microwave. They had no one to help up so thanks to Google they directed us to this little place. Well it is only little on the outside. They have a large, noce showroom. We were greeted immediately but no one approached until we were in the area of appliances we were there to look at. Even then he only potioned himself to be available to us for questions. When we started talking price and buying he was able to help us make a good decision based off our needs vs what we wanted to spend. We were offered a warranty but not pressured. Our install is set up and I can't wait to see how this goes as their installers get excellent reviews as well. Thank you to the staff at Bray & Scarff for making this as easy as possible! Edit: installation was horrible. From times given opposed to what we were told vs the actual installation time table (45mins vs 1 and a half hours) to how many people. The job was not done to completion. There was a weird flap left out and the kitchen was a total wreck. Wood chips and dust every where. Can't win them all or at all apparently. It always goes south when they get into the house. Still zero info about the refund process also. Even though we were told we would be contacted the next morning.

My husband went to get a dishwasher, as ours broke. We were frantic because we wanted next day. He called and talked to George, who said if we bought by noon we would have next day. He quickly drove over and worked with the manager to pick out a dishwasher. My husband said they were amazingly helpful. The installation was first thing the next day. The installer was so nice and clear, and we paid for them to haul away. It’s only been a couple days, but I’ll update if anything changes. We are so happy with our experience and will be back! I hate big box stores. Especially now, it’s a gamble with the delivery and install. I’d rather pay more for good service. We will come back to B&S for everything! Thank you all!

We met with Larry on 2/1/22 to purchase a GE refrigerator. With Larry to guide us through our options, we were able to make the right decision that best met our needs. Larry made the buying process very easy and his knowledge and easy manner was exceptional. He put us right at ease. We have bought our appliances for multiple residences at Bray and Scarff for years. Their sales staff is excellent. A HUGE plus is that they service their own appliances. Their technicians are certified by the major brands. We had an outstanding experience with Technician 253, Eduardo who serviced our refrigerator. Not only did he fix the problem, he gave us a lot of helpful information on maintenance and how to avoid certain common problems in the future. His customer service was a perfect 10! We’ve had horrible experiences in the past at the big box stores. You may pay a little more at Bray and Scarff but along with your high quality appliance, you get an experienced and competent repair team.

When we finally took delivery, all of the appliances were undamaged and looked better than we remembered. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. He kept me updated on the status of the trim kit as it was delayed due Covid. The fridge I ordered took several months to come in, due to the manufacturer and Covid. Every time I called to check the status, they were always polite, and understanding and patient. Bray and Scarff was able to remove my old washer and dryer and install new ones when Home Depot failed three times to deliver a new set. The delivery crew came out and took measurements beforehand (for a $50 fee) and when they came to install, the old stuff was out and the new stuff was in within an hour. The delivery team was friendly and conversant, and they made sure to answer all of my questions, plus they reassured me that if they had to come back and make something right, they would. My sales associate Larry was knowledgeable, and helped me pick quality units to fit my unique circumstances. Once the purchase was made, my units were installed within a week (winter weather slowed the process down by several days).

Sales and purchase went very smoothly. Delivery was one week from purchase. On day of delivery I was last stop so they arrived quite late in the evening. Actual installation and setup went fast. Operational installation was fast but not much to tell. Paperwork I received helped with connection to the internet. Using range one week now and all is good.

We shopped high end appliances at a couple retailers before going into Bray & Scarff and deciding to purchase from them. What made the difference for us was our salesperson, Larry Lascuola, who was professional and very knowledgeable about the products and services available at and by Bray & Scarff. Larry answered all our sales and service questions and demonstrated the products features. He even went above and beyond when I encountered a glitch in submitting a rebate being offered at the time. Our delivery was made within the time promised which can difficult these days and the delivery and installation team were amazing. The guys were very respectful of our home, they protected our wood flooring, worked diligently to ensure that both appliances were installed and operational and then cleaned up afterwards. We're very impressed with Bray & Scarff and wouldn't hesitate to return for other appliances.

The first attempt had a damaged product. Larry our sales person was notified and said that a shipment was coming in this week. When it happened he contacted us immediately and set up a delivery time. The service techs came to install a hood in the kitchen. While they were here I was having trouble with my washing machine and a slow leak in the kitchen. I asked if they wouldn't mind taking a quick look once they finished the hood. They looked at both items and advised what my next steps. They even made adjustments to the leveling on my washing machine. Being new to the area this type of service and hospitality was such a warm welcome to MD. I will be using this company in the future.

I purchased a GE washer and dryer combo and overall the sales experience was easy. The wait time for the items to be in stock did not take as long as expected and the sales associate set reasonable expectations. Delivery went smooth and overall I'm happy with the washer and dryer. My only complaint is the $49.95 rebate. Why not just an even $50? It's been impossible to use this gift card online anywhere because merchants only offer set even amounts.

Just had a GE stove delivered by Bray & Scarff and we couldn't be happier about the process. The experience was great. Bray and scarff matched the competitors price and I was able to get delivery within a few days. The old refrigerator was removed and there was no damage to the house. The installers were professional, clean and knowledgeable. This was my second refrigerator purchase from this company. The first one a mistake was made and they return the refrigerator the same day and replaced it with the correct one. Service has been uniformly excellent and their office responds promptly.

I waited to write this review after the installation of my appliances were completed. I went to the Dobbin Store in Columbia on Saturday August 20, 2016 to simply price up 4 new appliances for my home. My intent was to think about the purchase and get back with them on our decision. Well, our salesman Craig did such a wonderful job working with us that we decided to purchase that day. He was kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable about all products. Delivery of my appliances took less than a week and the installation couldn't have been more professional. DJ & Terrell (installers) did an outstanding job!! They were very efficient and complimented each other with the knowledge of the product. The entire experience makes me believe there are people that really care about their job and take a tremendous amount of pride in the company they work for. Great Job Craig, DJ, & Terrell! All in all, not a bad experience, but there were issues. Sales people were fine, delivery happened slightly later than scheduled. Biggest issue I have with this store, they charged me for all possible parts for installation when I bought my dishwasher, then said the would reimburse me for any parts not used. That did not happen. Also, the Assistant Sales Manager said there would be a $50.00 rebate. When applying for the rebate, I was informed that I did not qualify. My advice to the consumer, do not accept verbal commitments from this B&S store location. I will be wary of returning to it. I ended up paying more than expected because what I felt was misleading incentives/reimbursements that did not happened as promised.

Had a Bosch dishwasher installed today by Alberto, a 25 year appliance installer, from Bray & Scarff. Alberto did a wonderful job of the removal of our old appliance and installation of the new one. He was organized and professional. He continually picked up all packaging, excess materials and cardboard while meticulously installing our new appliance. He carefully leveled and positioned the new machine and made sure it was in top operating condition before leaving. I wholeheartedly endorse Bray & Scarff for your appliance needs.

The sales experience was interesting. I worked with Larry to make sure the dishwasher we bought would fit in to a tight space. He assured me, no problem. Got home and felt I rushed. Came in this past Sunday and worked with Bill. What a difference in style. Bill was thoughtful about our dilemma. We canceled the Whirlpool we had ordered and purchased a floor model KitchenAid. Richard came yesterday to install it. We had our wood floor guy ready to take out part of the floor. Richard was diligent and careful. Got the dishwasher in and no problems with our floor! I purchased our new dryer over the phone with the Columbia, (Maryland) location of Bray and Scarff due to COVID. I was nervous making such a big purchase without going into the store but the Customer Service representative, Chanel, was extremely patient with my many concerns and multiple calls. She was very detailed- asking me specific questions to ensure I was purchasing the correct dryer for our needs and home space specifications..The delivery gentleman were fantastic! They complied with my requested timeframe, were in PPE during delivery to include masks and gloves, and communicated with me via cell phone during the installation to include sending me pictures to ensure the location was to my satisfaction. After installation, I had issues with processing my rebate online and, once again, Chanel came to my rescue to assist me:-). This was a totally great shopping and customer service experience- Chanel and the delivery crew were excellent!! I strongly recommend this store for any appliance purchase. I thought they were going to be more expensive but the prices were competitive to local and online stores. Getting the great, personal customer service was an added benefit. Overall, the sales staff is knowledgeable and courteous. However, the problem has been an unreliable installation. There’s been multiple delays and this company has not done enough to fix the problems. They have pushed back our installation multiple times have the audacity to ask for payment without finishing the job. We were supposed to be done already but due glitches on their end, the installation is 2 weeks behind schedule. I realize there are many components at play here, but I have a giant hole in my kitchen that was supposed to be taken care of today. They now expect me to wait another week, which is nothing close to the smooth installation I was expecting. I hate to give less than 5 stars, but not finishing this installation smoothly warrants a low rating.

A great place to purchase an appliance. Our sales rep, Ms. Chanel Logan, was personable and professional. Chanel made my wife and I very comfortable with our washer and dryer purchases. It was a very good experience to discuss the features of both units (comparing them to others in the store) because she was so knowledgeable about the products, and presented their features in a pleasing and friendly manner. We learned a lot. We are now planning to replace our refrigerator, and Ms Logan at Bray & Scarff will be the person and place to buy it.

We had been living without a working fridge since Thanksgiving and washing machine for 6 weeks. Both were under warranty but after five tech visits, the fridge was deemed not repairable and the parts to fix the washer were on back order with no delivery estimate (Samsung sent the wrong parts and a box of damaged parts the first time). There was a huge selection of appliances from a variety of manufacturers and their prices were less than Home Depot. Our sales representative, Larry, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. You could tell from talking to him that he's been doing this for a while and he gave sage advice. He patiently answered our questions and gave plenty of practical information on selecting the right model of range for our needs. The field measure crew was friendly and took care to get all the information we needed to finally make a purchase. Bray and Scarf only charged us $50 for this service which is very reasonable--especially since if you actually make a purchase, they apply it as a credit. Unfortunately the oven was delivered with a broken fan, but the store refused to do anything about it. I would not but from them again.

We were feeling defeated after our KitchenAid refrigerator went up less then 18 months after installation. When we called Jenna we were a month into the COVID situation and had just purchased a lot of food so that we would not have to go out. She expedited our service date and kept us informed while making multiple follow-up calls to keep us in the loop regarding our ordered parts and our repair date. Her attention to detail, her professionalism, and her accessibility has been greatly appreciated. We were able to get the repair done swiftly because of her. She was very knowledgeable and educated us on the specifics of our warranty plan. This company should be grateful to have her working for them. We have not experienced this level of superior service in such a long time. Our 9 year old dishwasher died so I searched for a replacement and was prepared to go to a big box store, purchase a new one and install it myself. Then I decided to see what some appliance retailers had to offer and I saw similar prices at Bray & Scarff. I had never been to a Bray & Scarff so my wife and I went to their Columbia, MD store to take a look. I was impressed with the large selection of products. Turns out we got a better model for less $ and full rebates on the delivery and installation. They even took the old unit. My wife said the installation tech Richard was polite, knowledgeable and very professional. Salesperson Craig Dehnbostel knew his products and from walking into the store to sale completion was less than 15 mins. From now on we will always visit Bray & Scarff for our appliance needs.

From the first step of picking out my two new appliances (Zephyr recirculating ventilation hood and Wolf 4 burner cooktop) through the final step of installation, George Abu was extremely helpful, informative, and professional. From past experience, I already had a quite specific idea of the exact brands and models I wanted, but George corrected my misconceptions regarding the type of ventilation hood that could be accommodated in my current kitchen. He thoroughly explained the differences between an under-cabinet versus chimney stack models until I was comfortable with changing my vision for the kitchen. Once the appliances were chosen, he explained the next steps in the process and all possible charges to my satisfaction. I did ask about some of the charges multiple times, and he patiently re-explained. Once the appliances were installed (done quite well!), I was given a quick refund for the charges which did not end up applying to my particular installation (e.g., cutting the granite). My installation had to be delayed because the stainless steel ring which sits between the countertop and cooktop was not going to arrive in time, and I had already made arrangements for a Friday installation. Because of the re-arrangements I had to make, George refunded some of my costs for my trouble. George is quite personable, and I would definitely work with him and Bray and Scarff again. I would like to add a few comments about the two folks who actually did the installation. They were very professional and polite, and the actual installation went smoothly and efficiently. They cleaned up completely, and the job was very well done. I am very happy with the process overall.

Recently purchased a GE Profile range which was delivered today. I haven't used it yet so this review applies to my dealings with Bray & Scarf so far. The delivery crew arrived early and were very courteous and concerned that the job was done right. The salesman Craig Dehnbostel was very professional and knowledgeable. We shopped around and after the Free Delivery Rebate the price at Bray & Scarf was competitive with anyone.

The experience with Bray and Scarff was excellent from start to finish!! From their web site, to the purchasing experience with their sales manager, to the quality and condition of the merchandise, to the delivery and installation process with their technicians. I can’t say enough! The Columbia Store Manager, George Adu, assisted me. He is friendly, helpful, very knowledgeable and professional. Bray and Scarff may be a little more expensive than some of their competitors but if you value your time, stress level and sanity; it’s well worth it. I had come to Bray and Scarff after yet another nightmare of an experience with Home Depot. I am a landlord and do renovations and replacement of appliances periodically. Since Sears is pretty much out of the picture now, I’ve used Home Depot. It’s never fun with them. This time, not only did Home Depot mess up my order twice, but when I took the day off from work to receive my delivery; out of six items to be delivered, two of the items were damaged and one was the incorrect model. To add injury to insult, the dispatcher and delivery technicians were rude and unprofessional. Finally, to get everything fixed, redelivered and installed, I was going to have to take off from work TWO more times... REALLY!?! That’s when I called Bray and Scarff and my only regret is that I didn’t call them first. They are now my go to appliance company for life! Thanks Bray and Scarff. You had me at hello!

Wanted to let the community and Mr Joe Oaches know about exceptional customer service received today. In the past 2 weeks we purchased a Maytag 8200 Washer and dryer Pair, GE Profile Refrigerator and Microwave, and Kitchen Aid Dishwasher and Disposal all from Bray and Scarff. We had an uneventful installation of the Washer and Dryer by B&S installers on 1-10-17. Our Microwave and Refrigerator were installed by a contract crew later on 1-10-17 and they reused the 10 year old PVC water line to connect to the new refrigerator. I asked them to install the braided metal line that was promised by my salesman, but my request was refused. Saving the day on 1-12-17 were Tyrone Thomas and Chris Watson who are B&S installers and Chris Gavin who manages the Columbia store. We were the last installation of the day and once the old 1/2 HP disposal and drawer style dishwasher were removed and out of the house, we discovered that the opening for the new dishwasher was 1/4 inch too narrow and the plumbing under the sink would not accommodate the new 3/4 HP disposal. Chris and Tyrone installed the braided metal hose that should have been installed 2 days ago, made the opening in the cabinet larger to allow installation of the dishwasher. Chris Gavin went above and beyond to drive to our home with a 1/2 HP disposal so the job could be finished. Remarkably, everything was in and tested in a little over 2 hours. 3 deliveries over the past 2 days from Bray and Scarff and the three gentlemen noted above deserve recognition for going above and beyond and staying until everything was installed correctly. I would like to invite Mr Joe Oaches to contact me for additional details. Great customer service by these guys from Bray and Scarff. Highly recommend buying appliances from Bray and Scarff, they price match any stores and provide superb customer service.

My month-old stove now requires an $80 part (thankfully under warranty) which has to be ordered and will be about a week. I have yet to receive forms for the rebates promised at the time of purchase. A couple of days later working with Mr. Evans, we bought a wall oven comb, café refrigerator, cook top, telescopic down draft, and dishwasher from Bray and Scarff. My perfect experience began with Randy Evans and then Jim Churco on the sales side of Bray & Scarff. On the KitchenWorks Department side of Bray & Scarff, you have the very capable Ms. Melissa Nkwanyuo, who is a real asset at your organization. Ms. Nkwanyuo coordinated the delivery and installation of all that Bray & Scarff provided for my kitchen. She worked with my personal schedule and kept me up-to-date throughout the entire installation. She is simply superb. The perfection continued with Cliff (with his crew of two others) and the careful delivery of 5 kitchen appliances and the skillful installation of my wall oven combo and refrigerator. The removal of my old wall oven and refrigerator was done efficiently and cleanly. Next, came an electrician who quickly wired my kitchen island to appropriately power the cook top and telescopic down draft. Followed by Mario and Miguel, two more Bray & Scarff professionals who efficiently dismantled my old kitchen countertops and then expertly installed my new cook top, telescopic down draft, sink plumbing, garbage disposal, and dishwasher once my Cambria countertops were installed. When there was a hiccup with the backsplash tile installation, Mr. Tom Shearer and Mr. Keith Robinson immediately stepped in promptly and addressed the matter with your subcontractor to my satisfaction. B&S has a nice selection of higher-end appliances at good prices but it's the customer service that sets them apart from all of their competitors. Several years ago, we purchased our stove & over-the-stove microwave from B&S. We were very pleased with their knowledge, the time they spent with us explaining different features, and the fact that they do not contract out their installation services. When our fridge broke 2 weeks ago, we went straight to B&S. This review is primarily for that experience and I cannot recommend them highly enough. After speaking for a while with Al D., we chose a new bottom freezer with french door model fridge, in SS, even though the rest of our kitchen was black, simply because it was cheaper. However, the delivery guys had a hard time getting it into the house and it was badly scratched. As a result, we returned the unit. B&S worked with us over email and by phone, took the old unit back with no hassle, and even replaced it with a black unit (even though that model was more expensive) - at no charge. Both deliveries were within days of each other, the delivery guys came on time and were very nice, and we could not be happier with B&S. When buying appliances in the DC area, there really is only one place to go.
