I was referred to Vishal, by a friend, back in 2012; during an extraordinarily stressful period of my life. I had never had acupuncture, but had been curious about it. Vishal was kind, thoughtful, and approachably professional. My first appointment provided me with such a sense of peace and whole-ness that I was hooked! I have, since, seen him for everything from tendon troubles to pregnancy! His knowledge of the body and the use of herbs has been invaluable to my quality of life. He was a true rock, during the pandemic and is one of my most trusted and valued care providers. I always leave his office feeling better than when I arrived.

I highly recommend Vishal Verma! I came to him 9 months ago with migraine headaches which were escalating and really impacting my quality of life. After a few treatments the headaches were greatly diminished. The migraines continued to improve and after a few months I was essentially headache free and I remain headache free today! Vishal and I both acknowledge that I am still vulnerable to migraines so I continue to see him for maintenance which is wonderful. At the same time we’ve also worked on my sleep, TMJ, allergies and knee pain. His treatments have been very effective! His office is in a residential area of Ballard; easy to find and easy to park. Vishal greets me at the door and in a matter of minutes my treatment begins. The room is comfortable, calm and somehow always the right temperature. I look forward to my appointments with Vishal! I never thought I’d be saying that about acupuncture treatments! I have been recommending him to my family and friends and now to you!

Each visit, I feel comfortable talking about my concerns, big or small, and then we talk about my goals for the treatment. I am very grateful for being referred to Vishal and Omshen Eastern Medicine. With what initially began as an effort to handle stress and anxiety that derives from a fast paced work environment, soon transformed to areas I did not know Acupuncture could help with. As a former collegiate athlete, I continue my passion for sports by working out daily and participating in a soccer, basketball and football league that often overlap in schedule. Visiting Vishal regularly allows me to recover and sustain peak performance over the course of the year. My stamina and focus also increased in a very noticeable way, to the point I semi-jokingly want to go back and use the remaining collegiate eligibility I have w/ Vishal as my secret weapon. Another example is after being exposed to very loud noise, I lost a significant amount of hearing in one ear for a week, with ringing tinnitus to accompany the loss. I mentioned it to Vishal, and he knew exactly what to do. After treatment of just a few sessions, my hearing has recovered fully. These are truly just a couple of the specific times I have found myself thankful to have access to an experienced acupuncturist. Overall, very impressed with Vishal's professionalism and depth of knowledge, and if you are interested at all in experiencing the benefits of Acupuncture for your well-being and beyond, I strongly suggest starting at Omshen Eastern Medicine.

I have had many treatments for various ailments with Vishal and I can say Vishal is a true healer and great practitioner in his field. I would highly recommend him for Acupuncture, very relaxing and Therapeutic treatments paired with very effective herbal remedies that really work. He prescribed me a natural remedy for high blood pressure and it was very effective in stabilizing my condition. I have had much success with his treatments over the years for chronic back and neck problems and also very good treatments for stress relief. Vishal is the best!

I would recommend acupuncture and Vishal in particular to anyone who is considering it. I first went to see Vishal 4 years ago with regular and persistent pain in my right shoulder. It was clearly tied to my computer use (I work in an office) and it was only getting worse. My regular doctor in NY had suggested I decrease my computer usage, which was clearly not helpful advice. Vishal worked with me over 6 sessions (~6 weeks) and by the end, my shoulder pain had gone from an 8 to a 2. I loved our sessions so much I was making up reasons to keep coming back, but Vishal very politely told me we were done and to call him when I had another problem and I really appreciated that he could have kept taking my money but he didn’t. I continue to see Vishal today. When I got pregnant I saw him to help with nausea, pregnancy aches and pains and eventually, when I was 39 weeks pregnant and over it, I went in for a session and asked him to do his thing to get labor going— and within 12 hours my contractions started. I’m a huge believer and a big fan of Vishal and his work. Highly recommended.

I'd definitely recommend seeing Vishal. I first went to see Vishal many months ago seeking help with migraine headaches and I can say it's been very successful! Throughout my life I've suffered from several migraines per month since I was about 7 years old. Some years worse/better than others. Vishal helped me to the point where I don't get migraines but maybe 1 every couple months and even when that happens the intensity of those is drastically less. I would highly recommend making an appointment. Vishal starts each visit by asking good questions and listening, really listening. He adjusts treatments based on progress and symptoms. He treats issues uniquely, as no two migraines are alike. I've since been working with him on digestion and have already seen a significant improvement. I'm so happy that I found him after reading a similar review!

I began seeing Vishal in June 2016 for terrible neck and upper back pain, and I'm so glad that I did. At the time, I was working at a fast-paced design agency as an account executive. Hunching over at my computer, combined with stress, had caused my trapezoids to spasm with excruciating pain... to the point where I could not even ride in a car with all of the back and forth motion. I practice yoga regularly and am a healthy eater, so I was shocked this had happened to me. I first went to see a masseuse, who told me that I had the worst trapezoids she'd ever seen ("so hard you could bounce a quarter off of them") and that I'd better see a doctor right away. I visited my normal doctor, who only prescribed more massage and muscle relaxers to the tune of $250 for the visit. Frustrated, I reached out to Vishal @ Omshen with a last minute plea to squeeze me into his schedule. He responded promptly and agreed to see me on his day off. Vishal is smart, direct, and knows his stuff. He ushered me into his clinic and after spending a few minutes consulting with me, he immediately went to work placing needles on each of my arms and letting me rest there, checking on me throughout our session and making adjustments. On a scale from 1-10, my pain was at a 10 when I arrived. After 1 hour in Vishal's office, it was down to a 3! I could hardly believe it. The next day, it was even less and had completely disappeared 2-3 days afterwards. I wanted to cry and give him a big hug for relieving my pain without any medication. He recommended coming in each week for a few weeks after that to continue to work on it, which I did. Soon after those initial visits, I discovered I was pregnant and I have continued to see Vishal ever since. He's helped with first trimester nausea and fatigue, anxiety, sleep, and even hemorrhoids (oh the joys of growing a child.) He even correctly guessed the gender of my child based on my pulse alone. Vishal is a true expert in his field and I'm so grateful to have come across him and his practice. I highly recommend him to anyone who expresses interest in acupuncture or is looking for a powerful, effective alternative to managing pain without medication. Thank you, Vishal!

I started going to see Dr. Verma last year after bursting a disc in my back. After every single session with Dr. Verma I saw pain recede until I healed. My Western doctors were shocked at how quickly I got better. Even after that, I've continued to go to Dr. Verma to help with stress, digestion, back pain maintenance and more. For instance, last week I went hiking and pulled a muscle in my shoulder. To relieve the pain I'd tried advil, foam rolling, stretching, heat etc. I then went to see Dr. Verma and he did a treatment that completely removed the pain in a single session. He's simply extremely skilled, intuitive, and gets great results. 100% recommend Omshen Acupuncture.

I wish there were a special 10-star review selection. Dr. Vishal Verma deserves more than a 5-star review for his integrity, knowledge, superior listening ability, intuition, and just simple humane kindness. When I first came to him, I did not know what was going on with my health - extreme fatigue, blurred vision, foggy memory, poor circulation, swollen tongue, etc, etc. He found that it was related to my liver and he began healing it treatment by treatment. It is said that an acupuncturist who can heal the liver, can heal anything. Dr. Verma is that acupuncturist. It was less than two months later and I was back to running long distances, cycling, and overall sense of well being. So much more to say. I am so grateful for having been treated by Dr. Verma. Truly, a life-changing experience.
