Dr. Lam gave me my life back. I was born with a spine condition (spondylolisthesis) that wasn’t diagnosed until I was 16, after having already fractured two vertebra. I was insanely active (40 hrs of dance a week) at the time of my injury. Dance was no longer an option for me and I missed 30 days of school the following year due to pain that prevented me from even walking. Doctors had me taking several painkillers that I ultimately told them to stop giving me as they inhibited my ability to function mentally. I received a spinal injection similar to an epidural which provided minimal comfort for a few years. It had been ten years since my injury the first time I saw Dr. Lam. upon standing after treatment I immediately broke down in happy tears. I had not even noticed that I had lost a considerable amount of sensation from my waste down, and was slowly regaining feeling in my legs and feet for 45 minutes after the first session. I now see him as much as I possibly can, and have been able to take some ballet classes again. Dr. Lam sees what is ailing you when you walk in, and knows just how to fix it. I am an avid believer in acupuncture and will never seek treatment for my back anywhere else. Do your body and mind a favor and give it a chance, you will only regret how long it took you to see for yourself!
