High Hopes

I got referred to Dr. Totty by my chiropractor and honestly it has been the best referral I have gotten in medical practice. It's very relaxing and the environment is set up to make you as comfortable as possible. The acupuncture therapy itself is also relaxing, and gives you the time to be alone and kind of separate yourself from everything. There have been improvements in my mental clarity and my sleep at night. If anything my sleep quality has gone up the most. You will not regret booking your first appointment.

I had sudden sustained hearing loss in my left ear and numbness on the left side of my face as well from a Covid infection. After receiving steroid treatments from an ENT, I was told there was no further treatment to help. I happened upon an article about coupling steroid treatment with acupuncture as an effective way to help the hearing loss. I thought I would give it a try. After 2 weeks the numbness on my face was gone. I continued with a couple more weeks of treatments and my hearing has improved to the point of not needing a hearing aide. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Toddy for her professionalism, kindness, and extreme thought she put into my care!

Dr. Ashton Totty gave me hope when I had none. I was referred to a rheumatologist because of autoimmune symptoms I have been experiencing for the last 14 months (constant body aches, joint pain, severe fatigue, double ear aches, dizziness, numbness, tingling in hands and feet, headache, eye pain Etc. ). I believe that I have epstein barr virus. Now, I have more good days than bad after Dr. Totty helped me with acupuncture, juicing, supplements, garlic soup,and she recommended that I get a massage weekly. I've been seeing Dr. Totty for several weeks for acupuncture treatment of occipital nerve pain after finding little relief from pharmaceutical treatment and other procedures with a neurologist. Dr. Totty is absolutely amazing! After a long 2 years of trying to convince, and 4 months of fertility treatment, I felt defeated and afraid that IVF would be our next sep to conceive. During a period of waiting, I had a friend tell me to try out acupuncture. After a quick google search, I found Dr. Totty and called her. I was skeptical, but willing to try anything. She talked to me over the phone and gave me a great overview of her treatment. I scheduled an appointment and received even more detailed information on the benefits of acupuncture and fertility. Right then I started my journey with Dr. Totty, and it was been a great experience. We fell pregnant the first month of acupuncture, and though it ended in a miscarriage, we continued to push through. We fell pregnant again the following month. I continued to visit the clinic though my first trimester and started back my third trimester. She has been a lifesaver my third trimester, helping with the swelling in my feet and hands. I am so thankful for that I made the call on a whim and started this wonderful process. We are due to have our child very soon and I plan to continue to see Dr. Totty to meet any postpartum needs that I have. What a blessing she truly is! If you are on the fence about acupuncture for fertility/pregnancy, take my advice and see Dr. Totty. You will not regret it!

I have lower back issues and woke up with a piercing pain in my lower back. I could barely walk or turn my torso. Ashton took me in last minute and after an Acupuncture and Cupping treatment I stood up and felt amazing. I am now walking without the piercing pain and it was all so quick and painless. Honest to goodness (former) skeptic here… Since December 2019, I had been experiencing severe edema in both my legs and arms. As an active 37-year-old with no prior existing medical conditions (in relatively good shape), the rapid onset and severity of the edema was highly disconcerting. To the doctor I went… (And went and went and went.) Pick a test, any test - pretty sure I’ve had it! Blood given, organs examined, veins investigated, and prescription diuretics taken. Onward to PT - eight months of twice-weekly lymphatic therapy, while utilizing vacuum compression therapy at home and wearing (full) leg and arm compression garments daily. Relief was temporary at best, and still no diagnosis could be given. The symptoms were then coupled with extreme (extreme) fatigue and unexplainable short-term rapid weight gain. Every “let’s try this next” was, admittedly, a stab in the dark by my conventional doctors. The number of times I have heard “…well that’s odd…” from medical professionals could no longer be counted on fingers and toes. After 28 months, multiple thousands of dollars, and no answers later - a friend just happened to mention Dr. Totty in passing. Nearing the end of my rope with symptoms worsening, I obviously had nothing else to lose. Imagine my absolute surprise that within 30 minutes of reviewing my history, symptoms, and test results - I left the office with a tentative diagnosis and treatment plan in place. Two months later, and I haven’t looked back since! The edema in my legs has slowly, but surely, reduced without need of 18+ hours daily compression. Better still, the progress has remained! I have more energy now than I’ve had almost two years. TWO YEARS! Though I know there’s still a long road ahead, I’m so thankful to Dr. Totty for putting me in the right direction. No joke, this skeptic has officially been converted and I’ll happily sing Dr. Totty’s praises for all who will listen. I’ve since sent several people Dr. Totty’s way whom have since had just as good, if not even better, experiences. Do yourself a favor and take a leap of faith… I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Dr. Booe and Dr. Ashton are wonderful! They truly listen to what’s going on with you and take their time with patient care. They are always willing to go above and beyond for everyone. Dr. Booe has been doing my adjustments for over a year now and I cannot imagine going anywhere else. I can really appreciate someone who wants to help and not force you into a payment plan and get you coming back weekly just to make a profit. That is the last thing I’ve ever seen from them. They’re number one priority it to get you feeling better. Dr. Ashton’s work with cancer patients hits a special place in my heart from seeing what my mother had gone through, and I really admire all the work she puts into helping people. She is incredible. I’ve gotten to know them both from being in and out through my care and couldn’t recommend anyone better than the two of them for your chiropractic and acupuncture needs.

i started battling vertigo this year which was usually accompanied by a substantial hearing loss in my right ear. I went the usual route, emergency room, CT scan, specialist, MRI, special hearing test, specialist again. The only result was a big weight loss, in my bank account. I chose Totty initially because they were close to work, but after seeing how much they care about me feeling better, I would drive across the state for an appointment. I had never heard it before I went to them, but "thanks for giving us a chance" and "your not just a number" spoke volumes to me. The medical profession needs more people like this.
