I first walked through the doors of Seven Directions on June 1st, 2018, after having experienced four crushing years of unexplained infertility. Everything looked great health-wise and my doctors couldn’t figure out why my husband and I weren’t conceiving. But we just weren’t. And it was heartbreaking. During my second session, on June 7th, I felt something in the right side of my pelvis “pop,” followed by an inexplicable emotional release. When I crawled from the table and slid on my shoes, I knew something was different. On July 18th, I was standing in my bathroom, nearly fainting, holding a positive pregnancy test in my hand. Judy is an angel on this earth. I hope that, whatever your needs, if you feel intuitively led to try acupuncture, you’ll show up with an open mind and spirit and let the magic unfold as it may—in your time and in whatever way is best for you. I recently experienced the sudden onset of carpal tunnel symptoms from using a new computer mouse with poor ergonomics, and my hand and entire arm were in a great deal of pain. I called Seven Directions on a Sunday and they fit me into their schedule on that very day. Almost immediately after my appointment, my symptoms dissipated. This was my first experience with acupuncture and I was put at ease as soon as I walked in, both by the gentle ambiance and by Judy’s welcoming demeanor. Before the session, I was shown around the facility and given a chance to ask questions and discuss my treatment goals. I had booked a private session and the room was comfortable. The treatment itself was unexpectedly relaxing and I felt as rejuvenated as I have from full body massages in the past. I was happy that she incorporated cupping also as I had shown interest in that. She placed a couple acupressure seeds on each ear to assist in between visits. I left happy with the treatment as well as the price paid. If you’re skeptical about acupuncture like me, just do it. I went for treatment on my lower back which has been painful for a few years now, but recently picked up in intensity. Out of pure desperation, I went in, and what do you know - I had the best night of sleep in as long as I can remember. And as of right now my lower back feels wonderful. Oddly enough my shoulders and upper back started to ache afterwards. Apparently it’s natural to feel aches that were hidden after treatment. Anyway, very happy I went in and will make this a part of my regimen.

Here is a very clean, neat and very relaxing setting, and Anthony (holds a Master's Degree in Science and Acupuncture) made my first treatment. He has a very light hand (I am terified by needles, but there was no pain). Also he is a very good listener to what problems you have and what things you want to work on. I intend to do a lot more treatments, not only for pain, detoxification and sinus relief. After the treatment I feel incredibly good, and I am not afraid of accupuncture niddles anymore.

Both of us wearing masks was OK, but it seemed weird and off putting to me. First needle really hurt, however it seemed that possibly more care was taken with the others. Heat lamp felt like it was burning skin, but is wasn't. A check in the middle of the "rest" would have been helpful to check on patient and to answer questions of what was being experienced.

I have been going to Seven directions for a while now for community acupuncture (which is sitting in a room of recliners, fully clothed, and needles placed along your legs, arms, and ears. For that, you pay on a “pay scale” based upon what you can/want. I highly recommend. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and I have enjoyed building a relationship there.
