Affinity Acupuncture is above and beyond what I expected!! The staff was wonderful from day one! They are the best!!!I have had migraines for years and had recently gotten worse. I was averaging at least one per week that would just put me down and couldn’t function. I went for a consultation and began my treatments. It was like immediate relief within a few days. I have gone 29 days now and absolutely no headaches! I am so thankful the treatments are working and it is so relaxing! Give them a try , you will not be sorry!!! Best decision I have made because I was so tired of missing out on so many things with my family!!

I’ve been going to for Affinity Acupuncture for a few months now, and wow, what a difference. I’ve suffered from chronic shoulder pain for about 10 years now. I tried to get relief with other methods such as massage, or using a heat pad or ice bag, and that provided temporary relief. My shoulder would feel fine for a few days, but would start flaring back up again. I finally decided to give acupuncture a try. The Affinity acupuncture team is absolutely amazing. William, the acupuncturist, talked me through the whole process, identified some areas of my shoulder that need work. He went to work immediately and I felt relief after the first day. I’ve completed about 12 sessions so far and my shoulder is actually feeling better, the damage is slowly being healed through acupuncture and some shoulder exercises. I should have started acupuncture years ago. Definitely check out Affinity Acupuncture. What have you got to lose?

The only reason i gave Affinity Acupuncture 5 stars is because that is the max that Google allows. My sessions at Affinity have truly changed my life. I discovered the benefits of acupuncture about five years ago, but it has just been the past two years that have truly been life changing. I developed neuropathy, a condition that causes your feet to feel pain, numbness, and tingling. William at Affinity diagnosed the problem and began treatment. I soon got my life back. William is a miracle worker. I usually walk around with horrible knots in my shoulders. By the end of the day I’m miserable and grumpy. I started getting my trigger points worked on a few weeks ago and the relief has been significant. I’m actually mad at myself for not coming sooner. I’ve been in pain for no reason. I've been seeing William at Affinity for a few months now. I decided I was going to actually try acupuncture, so I did some research for places around Nashville. Affinity ended up accepting my BCBS insurance, so I got started right away, working on my upper back. After about three weeks, I was feeling loads better and we moved to the lower back. Fast forward another few weeks and I was feeling better than I had in years - no back pain! Then I realized... I have tendonitis in my ankle & have just been living with that pain for the last few years, it was 'normal' at this point. I asked William if we could give it a try, and WOW... I'm amazed! He is flexible with appointments, sends text reminders, all the good stuff. He also explains what he's doing and normalizes the needles - usually I don't even realize he put them in. I'll update the post again in a month or two, but overall - enthusiastically recommended. If you were considering giving acupuncture a go - call William.

Wow, what a difference so far! I have had a chronic dull neck pain from a car wreck several years ago. I had thought of trying acupuncture for awhile but never followed through. It wasn’t until I injured the left side of my neck almost 2 months ago. The pain would start just behind my left ear lobe and shoot up to the left side of my head, causing intense headaches. I was hoping ice/heat and time would help it get better. After a few weeks of ibruorofen and minimal relief, I finally decided to see an acupuncturist. I found Affinity Acupuncture on Google. They had good reviews so I made an email inquiry through their website on a Saturday I think. The inquiry asked me some questions about myself and what part of my body needed their help. By Monday (2 days later), they fit me for a consult. What I liked instantly was there was no wait. I arrived on time and within minutes I was in a room and talking with Dr William Alexander. He asked me some follow up questions from my original inquiry, looked at and felt the area of my neck that was bothering me, and recommended a treatment plan of the next course of action. He recommended 3/x week treatments for 4 weeks. I was concerned about price and the commitment of being out of work. He reiterated the treatment he had in mind was not to just help the pain. The goal was to eliminate it so I wouldn’t have to keep coming back. He mentioned he would be using traditional acupuncture and a combination of electricity. I didn’t know exactly what that meant at the time but he said each visit usually takes less than 30 minutes. I was tired of the pain, so I accepted this treatment plan. WEEK 1 After 3 treatments, I did not notice much difference. I was still taking Motrin to help with pain but was encouraged I wasn’t needing as much of it. What I loved so far though was that I was in and out! Affinity Acupuncture is in a multi tenant building on the first floor. After you let receptionist know you are there, you are met right away and brought right into exam room. I was on my back and fully clothed with shoes off. Within minutes, Dr Alexander comes in explains what he was doing and inserted about 5-6 needles around my feet, ankles, and hands/fingers area. I didn’t look as he did this. Nothing hurt though. He dimmed the lights and said he would be back shortly. After about 15 minutes, he comes back in and takes the needles out and I was done. I paid my copay as I walked out the door snd I got texted a receipt for my records. You can the receipt emailed as well. I was back to work in less than hour. No side effects. No fuss, no muss. WEEK 2 The treatment was more focused on my neck this week. I was on my stomach. Needles were inserted in the back part of my neck and top of my head. This week there was a TENS unit used as well in my back. Also, Dr Alexander used electricity on the area of my neck that was causing me the most pain. The electricity just felt like a tingle. Doctor does this manually and it’s only for like 30 seconds. He then dims lights like the 1st week. After about 15 minutes, he removes everything and I’m done. By end of 2nd week is when I really notice improvement. I still felt my left side of neck was injured (still felt tight) but was pleasantly surprised the pain was gone. After constant pain for 5 weeks, you feel like you have a new person when you don’t have pain and do not have to take any pain medication. WEEK 3 This week is much if the same as week 2. I am currently at the end of 3 weeks of treatment. The pain on the left side of my neck is still gone. Final thoughts: I am exceptionally pleased so far of the results at Affinity Acupuncture. I am thankful I finally did something about my neck pain and saw these guys. If anyone who reads this review and is on the fence if acupuncture is right for them, just go see these guys and feel the difference. You won’t be disappointed.

William Alexander does a great job, for me he has taken me from 4 to 5 migraines a week down to 1 or 2 a month, and they are not as severe. I met William Alexander at Affinity Acupuncture through a social media discount coupon. As an energy worker and a massage therapist, I was familiar with Chinese Medicine and meridians and how the body can be affected through removing blockages and opening the channels to allow energy to flow. My intention when I purchased the certificate was to have the one session as a tune-up. But before I could use the coupon, my father passed away. My first visit was about a month after Dad’s death so William and I decided to address the grief process and calming my spirit. He worked on the Lung meridian where grief is held and the Large Intestine meridian where grief is processed. He also used some other points to help my overall wellness. I felt so much better after the initial visit that I signed up for a series of sessions to be used over the next six months. I have found William to be very professional with a sincere desire to help his clients both emotionally and physically through his work. I was able to get an appointment that fit my schedule. I was thrilled with the level of attention William gave to asking about my needs, reviewing my written medical history and discussing what could be done in the time allotted. I started going to William in February this year. I was referred to him since I wanted to take a natural holistic approach to healing. I spoke to William's wife Cassie on the phone to make my first appointment and she took the time to listen to my story. I had battled extreme pain in both armpits for over two years. After many blood tests, X-rays, a cat scan, a mammogram & several Doctor visits, I started looking for more answers. I found out I have extreme arthritis that is affecting my joints. I saw William last night for the first time. I had injured my neck and was having excruciating pain unable to move my head for 4 solid days. Mind you, I was also completely freaking out because I'm getting married in less than two weeks. I was on painkillers and steroids for the injury, repeating heat and ice without being able to even leave the house or drive, and wasn't seeing any improvement. I was desperate and looked up places for acupuncture when I found Affinity. I can honestly say I didn't have the highest expectations for pain relief because the pain was so bad and I've only done acupuncture once, but I was willing to try anything for relief. When I went into see William I had about a 9 to 10 on the pain scale and within a hour, I seriously left with my pain down to a 1 to 2 on the pain scale. I literally called him a warlock. I just can't believe how incredible the relief was in a matter of an hour and I'm so happy I gave it a chance and went in. Don't be stubborn like me and wait it out, go see William. I highly recommend William for acupuncture. I am 15 weeks pregnant now after 4 years of infertility and failed IVF cycles. My last failed IVF with donor eggs was in August/September 2015. After that try failed, I immediately started acupuncture for the first time ever to get me in top form in case we tried IVF again. I wish I had started acupuncture with William before I started infertility treatment in 2012, because it worked all on its own! I had premature ovarian failure (my AMH level was 0.06) and was told I had too low ovarian reserve to even try using my own eggs. I had all kinds of other infertility hormonal problems as well. Within 2 weeks of getting acupuncture twice a week with William, I felt a huge difference in my overall health. My headaches stopped immediately, my hormones seemed to even out, my chronic pain from an old back injury got better, acne went away. We continued treating aggressively with acupuncture and 8 weeks later, we got pregnant on our own with no medical intervention, the only thing we did different is acupuncture with William. He is very easy to talk to, and listened to my needs as a patient. He gave me options for treatment and respected the choice I made on which treatment to follow, never pressuring me to do any treatment I didn't want 100%. He is a very supportive practitioner and flexible. I will continue going to him through out my pregnancy, and so far I have had a very pleasant pregnancy, no morning sickness or anything like that, thanks to acupuncture treatments to help with pregnancy symptoms. I have had genetic screening and my baby is healthy. Yes, I absolutely recommend this guy.

I tried it anyway because I wanted to avoid dependence on pain medications to manage back pain related to a herniated disc. The owner, William, listened to my concerns and only did treatments that I was comfortable with. He explained what he was doing & why, and never pressured me to do treatment I wasn't comfortable with. Acupuncture helped to manage my pain, and even helped with various other health concerns. Best treatment, friendly, experienced in various techniques/styles, always leave feeling great, has helped cure me of an old injury. I have done what the Military Dr. Said - stretching, exercising, resting for many years and even went through a series of chiropractic. Have had some recurring tendinitis in my shoulders. Was unable to move my arm in certain positions. After three sessions, I am almost pain free and have much better range of motion. Acupuncture definitely has its place in the spectrum of treatment options for a variety of aches and pains. It’s worth looking into.
