I have visited Dr. Zhou for the past 2 months. I came in with Chronic neck and shoulder pain and within the last 2 months, my pain is virtually non-existent! Not only does he do the acupuncture, he cracks my neck and does the acupressure massage as well!! He has helped me get restful sleep after years of chronic disturbed sleep. It’s a truly “one-stop-shop”. I highly recommend him if you desire a holistic experience to better health!!

I was in Milwaukee visiting my sister-in-law and my back was messed up from a long drive and extended exercise. My sister-in-law called Dr Zhou on 4th of July! I have had an absolutely amazing experience with Dr. Zhou and his wonderful staff! After re-injuring a herniated disk, I couldn't get up from a vertical position without excruciating pain and could hardly walk without significant sciatic nerve pain. After just one session, I finally felt some relief, and after only two more weeks of treatment, I felt about 85% back to normal. Dr. Zhou wholeheartedly cares for his patients and does everything he can to facilitate a fast yet effective pain management process. I just want to let you know that Dr Zhou did an amazing job. My friends referred him to us and we had previously seen Dr. Zhou. However, 13 days ago, my husband hurt his back at work. Traditional medicine did not help out my husband. Chiropractic care helped him somewhat, but when my husband saw Dr. Zhou, he got my husband in that day we called and worked on him through a variety of acupuncture, massage, cupping and adjustments for 1 hour and 40 minutes and when we left my husband could walk and felt 99% better. I went in to Dr. Zhou's with tennis elbow symptoms in September 2018. Over the course of 6 to 7 months, Dr Zhou treated my elbow on a roughly weekly basis. At the same time, I tried to rest my elbow but I did still engage in activities I enjoy (weight lifting, basketball) and activities that simply needed doing (snow shoveling, yard work, etc). During the course of treatment, my tennis elbow continued to improve and I continued to be more confident in exercising it more. It is now May 2019 and I have no daily pain in my elbow. I'm confident Dr. Zhou's treatments aided in my recovery and I'd recommend him to anyone that is interesting in trying an oriental medicine approach to pain management.

I've been seeing Dr. Zhou for pelvic alignment issues, SI joint issues, and chronic sciatica from a L5/S1 herniated disc. With his help, I've been able to stop taking all pain medication when before, I wasn't even able to sleep more than 2 hours at a time at night because of the pain. The massages and stretching that he has done has corrected most of my pelvic instability. If I have pain in another area of my body during an appointment, I mention the pain, a few needles go in, and I start to feel better after my session. I'm so thankful that I found him and what he has done for my pain. Nothing beats the relaxation that comes during acupuncture, as well... I recommend him to anyone that has a chronic or acute pain!!!

My father went to Dr. Zhou after experiencing complications from a mini-stroke and other heart problems. Four years after the mini-stroke he was still suffering from facial numbness and constant headaches. In addition to this he was dealing with severe heart arrhythmia even after undergoing an ablation procedure. In short, he was not in good health and had zero energy - different medications, multiple heart specialists and second opinions from other doctors were not addressing the problems. Since he started weekly acupuncture treatments, the facial numbness and headaches have completely disappeared, and heart rhythm issues went from something he lived with daily to a very infrequent occurrence. I have seen Dr. Zhou for a year as of January 2016. I had slipped on ice and broken my ankle in January 2014 and suffered a lot of damage to the ligaments and tendons in my foot and had burning pain across my instep that was only relieved by prescription pain pills. I went to physical therapy for a year in 2014 before starting to see Dr. Zhou in January 2015. Now, a year later, I can walk and hike long distances without pain or fatigue in my foot. I just got back from a two week class trip to Mexico in January 2016 where we averaged 4 to 8 miles of walking and exploring or climbing the ruins every day. I would like to make a suggestive recommendation any misconception or preconception you might have of acupuncture treatment and message therapy should be disregarded them. After 10 to 15 steroid injection in my right knee and left hip I never thought I would be pain free again. Go to Dr. Zhou. He's calm, trustworthy, and patient. He'll listen to you and ask your opinion. He's unlike any other doctor. He doesn't have a big ego to defend and he's constantly trying his best to make his patients better. You just have to be open and honest with him. Hide nothing. Tell him everything you're feeling, especially during the acupuncture. You have to be completely open and blunt about how you feel, even intimate/embarrassing things if necessary. He won't know unless you specifically tell him. Tell him about other doctors you may have seen and what they've said. He's a master at what he does and he wastes no time. He does his job efficiently and professionally but also with great care. However, be sure to go to the Shorewood location for the massage and acupuncture if you live in the Greater Milwaukee Area. The Wauwatosa location sucks honestly. The ambiance isn't as warm and inviting. The massage and acupuncture I got there was rough, rushed and painful. There was some guy named Shane giving me the massage and he wasn't as skilled as Dr. Zhou. I suggest going to the Tosa location only if you need herbal medicine. It's usually in stock there. The Jia Wei Xiao Yao Wan I got from there has been very helpful in treating my spleen problems and my hemorrhoids. The Bupi Yichang Wan was also very helpful too but he only seems to keep it stocked at the Tosa location. The Shorewood location is completely perfect. It's warm, inviting, and very authentic. I was completely calm and Dr. Zhou did a great job. Acupuncture can be a bit painful, but there, it was quite calming and rewarding. I was feeling better during the acupuncture and thus after. I will likely continue going to Dr. Zhou for all my medical needs. I feel better everyday thanks to him. I'm giving him 5 stars not only because he's perfect, but he's also willing to improve and change his technique according to his patent's needs. That cannot be said about the rest of these money-hungry professional drug dealers we call "physicians". He's truly an extraordinary healer.

I'd been paying a physical therapist and getting no results. I'd dropped from 50 pushups to 5 because of my arthritis pain, so I decided to try acupuncture. I'm now back up to 40, the pain is still there it just isn't as intense and is bearable. It took 5 sessions to achieve these results so it isn't a one and done and my treatment is on going. I'm not sure this will work for everyone but it works for me. My arthritis had me down to 5 push ups, after 6 treatments I'm up to 30. The pain is still there, it just isn't as intense. I stopped going for a few months and the pain intensity returned. It isn't a permanent fix.

Some chronic elbow pain brought me into the offices of Dr. Zhou. As a person that is extremely physical in my job as well as outside of work my body gets beaten on pretty hard. It took several visits, but within a few weeks, pain that had been bothering me for years, had nearly vanished. Since that time I come once a week and get regular attention. It has become my favorite hour during the week. It is an hour of meditation and relaxation accompanied by some massage and needles. This is my first encounter with accupunture and have had a great experience. I was quite skeptical of the possibilities of my elbows recovering, but have been wonderfully surprised by how effective this treatment has been in regards to the elbows as well as other acute and more mild pains. To boot, Dr. Zhou and his staff are refreshingly upbeat and friendly. Thank you so much.
